The view of the room is just Perfect! The staff is so helpful as well, they kindly help us carry the luggage to our rooms without us asking for help. The safari drive is also wonderful. Thank you for everything

The whole experience at Aquila was unreal. Our check-in experience was very smooth even though we were very late and had to immediately go for our sunset safari. The buffet spreads across all meals was great overall! Staff was very friendly. The rooms were extremely spacious, clean and had great views. We were on Level 1, so we had access to a huge patio which opened up to the serene beauty of the mountains.

Veel geld voor een pretpark!Veel geld voor weinig, hotel is maar een 2 sterren waard, is meer een pretpark vol toeristen dan om te genieten. Geen herhaling voor dit hotel en safari. Bij toekomst krijg je drinken, half de safari krijg je drinken maar tijdens de maaltijden mag je terug je geld boven halen.... Kamers: 2/5 | Service: 1/5 | Locatie: 3/5 Kamers Bij binnenkomst hoorden we de boven en zij buren wegens slechte isolatie. ook geen tv of radio, er stond midden de kamer een lederen zetel vol scheuren en gaten en als de bovenburen zich douchen dan ging onze douche, toilet en wc lekker brubbelen. Eten en drinken Eten is meer een buffet alá massa maar let op geen drank inbegrepen in de prijs, dit mocht toch wel het geval zijn! Bijzondere details Welkoms drank bij begin en midden tijdens safari maar geen bij de maaltijden. Alsook zwemmen is open en bloot, men voelt zich zelf een atractie gezien de bendes voor de safari met zijn allen daar moeten eten en paseren. Toetaal niet gezellig en relax. Veel te veel lawaai van kinderen en gasten die al iets van alcohol hebben gekregen.

We had expected this place to be massive - but it wasn't. It was friendly, clean and spacious with beautiful views overlooking the reserve. We chose a room on the third floor with an interconnecting room for the kids and found this perfect with a luxurious bathroom, bed linen and incredible view from our balcony for sundowners! The dining hall was a little crowded at meal times but we always found a table. The food choice from the buffets was good, piping hot and topped up frequently. The drinks staff were friendly and efficient and being a family who dislike buffets, found this a surprisingly good experience. We were staying for 2 nights so had use of the spa - very highly recommended as this had a small pool in a secluded garden for spa users only as well as the 2 indoor pools (one warm and the other freezing). As for the safaris - we had Nicolas who was brilliant and found us 3 of the big 5! The truck was rickety but we loved it - the scenery was beautiful. We booked private tours for our full day - and wow! Our guy found us everything we wanted - giraffe and .... lions! The 3 females and the 1 male! We loved Aquila - it was perfect for us as a family of 4 and would recommend to anyone!!

The floors in the spa near the swimming pools were ridiculously slippery and liable to cause injury

Lovely setting and easy access from Cape Town. We very much enjoyed being able to swap out two safaris to go out on horse back and the ATVs. On one day there was a lot of day visitors around the pool but we just retreated to the private pool by the spa. Overall we had a good stay but the one real let down was the food! Every meal was bland and just not good, and one guest got sick from one meal. It is a real shame as the whole set up is very nice so we were quite shocked about the poor quality of the food.

Well organised from the beginning when we were relieved of our bags as soon as we got out of the shuttle and offered complimentary wine. We were given a daily activity programme which included 2 game drives a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The drives were excellent as we managed to get up close to lions, giraffes, zebras and rhinos. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
Rooms are small but well furnished.
