Staff are really friendly. Food was good, loved the buffet and all the options they had for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Only issue is the walls are not sound proof and i can hear everything next door. That part was disruptive.

I prefer smaller places. It was too loud at the time and became too party oriented. If you are planning to sleep well not in this resort, there is a bar open 24 hours and lots of parties all the way until morning. Other than that I enjoyed my room, food and beach was perfect . Shopping is very close too!!!

Overall the stay was great! The two things that could be improved were the functionality of the elevators and the restaurant food. The buffet food was the best food.

This resort was perfect except a few things. The rooms are outdated and a little depressing and the food was not anything impressive. The staff is all so nice and attentive. The activities staff is also super fun! The beach is beautiful, but this area is not great for snorkeling as there aren’t many fish or shells. I would recommend RUI Hotels for sure but would stay at another resort instead.

The quality of Riu has gone down through the years. The food was "OK" but not terrific. The bathroom looked aged with stains on the mirrors, toilet, and the shower purposely has no door, guarantying the floor will get very wet. The workers, however were excelling everywhere.

I did not like how Americanized the food was. I expected more Mexican cuisine. I also did not like that you were only allowed to eat in the restaurants. You were not allowed to get your food and eat it somewhere else.

The property was beautiful, food choices amazing, employees were friendly. The room we were in was showing its age and definitely needs remodeling to match the beautiful common areas.

Always a great time at the Riu Cancun. Food is pretty good. Lots of selection. The rooms are spacious and clean. Nightly entertainment is fine. The bartenders, waitstaff and cleaners work really hard and are always there with a smile. Tip them! You do need to play the towel game to get seats at the pool but not the beach. For what it costs the Riu Cancun is the best value hotel in a great location.

Staff is amazing. Had the best time. Convenient to the clubs. Only thing we didnt like was bo blankets on the beds, but not sure if this is a normal thing for cancun.....
