Son Matias Beach - Adults Only

Lovely hotel. Reasonably central to everything. Sea view. Very clean , staff lovely. A welcome pack of toiletries and bottled water left in room Comfortable bed. Walk in shower. Balcony with lovely sea view. However, the safe in the room did incur a charge of 5 euros a night which I felt was very expensive. Breakfast was excellent. Great choice of food and well cooked. Good entertainment in the hotel. Tribute acts etc, Bingo Quizzes etc. Free WiFi in hotel. The pool area is lovely with a small bar there that serves drinks and snacks. Hotel not happy about parking a bike outside the hotel so if looking for a cycling holiday it might be worth checking about where to store your bike. Our stay in The Son Matias Beach Hotel was excellent. Couldn’t fault the hotel and staff. A short walk to Magaluf if it’s a place you would like to visit. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Lovely Hotel, stunning sea views from very clean modern rooms. All staff made us feel very welcome. Stayed bed and breakfast but did pay to have evening meal a few times. Good choice of hot tasty food. Great location close to beaches, shops and bars. Will definitely return.

Great Hotel BUT few ******* This is my 5th visit and I still love the Hotel 10/10 , the Views and the staff but the entertainment is not as good as previous visits , there is a new lady Julie , Tony is no longer there , did miss him and his evening photos and fun sense of humour and Wii games when weather was bad , and just felt there was a lack of atmosphere , on her days off Saturday and Sunday evenings very quite in the entertainment room , hopefully this is just because its the start of the season and she's just finding her feet . The Rooms are still lovely and you can not fault the amazing views , very clean , but no radio working or English channels in the rooms , nice just to have the TV on in the evening , when asked at reception this was because they had changed their contract and it hadn't been sorted. The Food , there was always choice and hot but not as good as previous visits and if you went down late after 7.30 , food was not replenished and not much to choose from. All in all would still go back to the hotel as amazing position , lovely and clean and lovely bar and reception staff.

Last second break, and I mean last second,booked 5pm Tuesday, flew 6am Wednesday. Back to the Son Matias for a wonderful four days with the home from home in Palma Nova. As normal the hotel is spotless, no way is there a cleaner hotel than this one. We had a junior suite again spotless,looking out over Palma bay.The super friendly staff here, lots of personal friends over the years looked after us both like royalty.The new beds are really very very comfy, a good investment by the hotel. The position of the hotel is perfect nice and flat one way, or if you want,over the hill to Magaluff, we were only bed and breakfast which was very nice each day, and there are plenty of selection from pizza to steakhouses very near to hotel for those who eat out.Cant wait to return in the summer with friends from near and far.

Excellent, all staff are very nice and helpful, was my birthday and hotel left a nice bottle of champagne with a card in my room. Lovely surprise xxx

Great hotel in great location. Food - plenty of choice and served hot - not just warm. Hotel clean in all areas. Stayed in room 714, nice views, excellent walk in shower. Entertainment in the evening was mixed, enjoyed "Son of Sole" and Abba tribute acts. Beds comfortable. Good beaches on doorstep, only 5 minutes walk into Magaluf (beach not as nice here) 2 minutes walk to bus stop for Palma. You pay for your drinks with card that opens your room, no cash or credit card accepted until your final payment Negative - 9.60 euros for pint of John smiths and glass of Cider. 2.60 for bottle of water with evening meals. Early departure, kitchen only opened properly 20 minutes before pick up outside hotel. Would I return - YES 100%

Brilliant stay. We stayed in this hotel in April 2024. The rooms were comfortable and modern and all rooms over look the sea and have a lovely view. Great location for shops, bars and restaurants and the bus stop is right outside the hotel which has great links to lots of different ports in Majorca and also easy links to Palma. Rooms were clean and communal areas were lovely. The smell of the hotel when you enter is also amazing. Pool area clean and you were able to get a sun lounger easily in April. Will definitely be staying again. Location and the room views were definitely the best thing about the hotel. Staff also very helpful.

Fantastic first time visit to this area and hotel. Hotel is stunning,spotless clean in all areas, priceless view from small double room, really comfortable bed and excellent shower. Excellent service from all staff from ease of check-in /checkout, restaurant staff who work very hard , housekeeping and entertainment lady sorry can't remember names but a big thank you to all and keep up the good work. Highly recommend and will definitely be back! Love the relaxed pool area/pool bar, evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss but usually is, great choices of breakfast and evening meals

Rooms are small but have all you need Drinks expensive Entertainment didn’t stay in the hotel so can’t say Location 10/10 every room has a sea view Staff very good Food 7/10 mostly very good and something for everyone Breakfast Very good Cleaners excellent The usual sun bed rats at 9.30 moving the beds in line with sun which is millions of miles away but always free beds to be had TV very few channels BBC news , Ch 4 film 4 great tv 3 channels and a BT sport sometimes , but no UK terrestrial channels ….really need to have BB1 ITV CH5 etc It is mostly older people 70 plus …but most are ok some miserable but so were the younger ones Overall if you want a great location and good food then it’s a perfect hotel
