Marins Suites - Adults Only Hotel

Echt een heerlijke plek, maar ze moeten echt aan bepaalde aspecten werken. Laten we beginnen met het goede ... Het eten is erg goed en het zwembad is erg ontspannend met uitzicht op zee. Nu de rest... Wanneer u aankomt, is het niet duidelijk dat u naar het tegenoverliggende hoofdhotel Marins Playa moet gaan om in te checken. We boekten een suite, maar kregen blijkbaar per ongeluk een kamer van een lagere klasse. Toen we ernaar vroegen, zeiden ze dat ze ons zouden omruilen naar een suite op de eerste verdieping waar je vanaf het balkon niets kon zien! In plaats daarvan boden ze ons slechts 40 EUR korting aan - ze maakten niet eens het verschil in de kamerprijs goed. De airconditioning in de kamer is erg slecht en heeft onvoldoende vermogen. De douche was geblokkeerd en overstroomde de kamer. We hebben dit gemeld en het duurde 2 dagen om het op te lossen (niet goed in een verblijf van 4 dagen). De beste waren zacht, maar de matras was vrij dun, dus als je gemiddeld of groter was, sliep hij op een bank. De klantenservice was niet geweldig - een kwestie van nemen of laten. We gaven een kaart toen we boekten, maar zeiden dat we een andere kaart zouden gebruiken om te betalen. 3 dagen na het verblijf van 4 dagen brachten ze de kaart in rekening die we niet wilden gebruiken zonder het ons te vertellen. Dus mooi uitzicht en lekker eten, maar voor ons is service belangrijk. Zouden we er weer verblijven? Nee

Det er det reneste og meste lækre hotel jeg nogensinde har boet på. Det levede på alle punkter op til alle vores forventninger.

My husband & I spent a week here. We were kindly greeted at the Marins Playa reception to check in. A helpful staff member took us & helped with our bags to the suites & explained everything so clearly. Breakfast is served in the suites with a great selection. Dinner is at the Menorca restaurant in Marins Playa, but is an adult only restaurant. The food selection there was limited & the same every night, so we only dined there 3 nights of the 7. The poolside was so chilled, with helpful staff at the bar & chill music playing. A great selection of food at lunchtime & I recommend the pizzas! Our room was quiet & very comfortable with complimentary pool towels which are changed every 3/4 days with your sheets at no extra charge. One bottle of water is provided in the fridge on arrival, but isn’t replaced. Would have been nice if that was a daily thing, but was easy to stock up from the supermarket across the road. Everywhere felt very clean. The evening entertainment we had was great, but there were a few nights where there was no entertainment at the suites & didn’t fancy going to marins playa for their entertainment as was more kid oriented. Overall, it was an amazing stay & would highly recommend.

Great 4 star Hotel. Being adults only, it was a much more relaxing experience. Bar staff were amazing, we found them friendly and very attentive - only wish I could remember their names! Breakfasts were great and again staff always very welcoming. We had a double room with sea view. The view was the best I've experienced. Was only 5 min walk into cala bona and only 5-10 mins into main areas of cala millor. Not long to get to beach but we loved sitting by pool too. Only negatives would be advertising entertainment. The board at bottom of stairs mainly only advertised the entertainment at the main playa building. Rarely advertised anything happening at the suites and so we missed a few nights as we already had plans to go out. The air conditioning in the room didn't work for 1 night which was very unpleasant, and in general the air conditioning mainly only cools the entry area of the room. Could be aligned better to cool whole room. Other than that definitely recommend!

We are frequent visitors to Marins having stumbled across it on Trip advisor 9 years ago. We don’t usually return to the same place however this is so great we now return a few times a year! Location is seafront and you can walk within a few minutes to both Cala Millor and Cala Bona with lots of bars/ restaurants and shops close by. The outdoor areas and bar are fabulous, great for relaxing and chilling with a lovely patio for breakfast and lunch. The team are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and housekeeping amazing nothing is too much trouble. Come the evening the bar area transforms into a chill-out area for relaxing and enjoying cocktails. Our last trip was to celebrate a special event so we upgraded to the penthouse and wow this is something special! You can also use the facilities in the Marins family hotel across the road where they have an adult only hotel for breakfast and evening meal and a rooftop chill out area with jacuzzi’s and bar and fantastic far reaching sea views plus an indoor pool/ sauna/ steam room and gym.

Stayed here for 4 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. Room was very nice, big and with a nice balcony overlooking the pool and out to the ocean. The breakfast each morning was really nice with a good selection of different foods. Pool area was really nice with large beds to relax on. The staff were really nice and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely stay here if I came back to the area.

Lovely hotel, excellent staff, food ok but German or continental European bias. Entertainment in evening poor. Only other issue but a significant one, the annoying ‘music’? from DJ ( he was probably one of the few if any, who enjoyed it !) Boom, boom most of the afternoon. This will deter us from returning.

The hotel is lovely, the staff are friendly , the location is beautiful, hotel is spotless and the room we had was huge. There are a few little problems though that could be sorted to make this hotel perfect. The big sunbeds that dominate the best parts of the pool are 25€ per day spend on them now, it cost us a lot of money to come here so that was a shock. We were asked to move off them as we didn't know. You can't pay cash for drinks here either and have to sign everything. We always bring money so didn't like that idea as we had to pay at the end of the holiday for drinks and you don't know how much that is at the end. If you want to change your towel for around the pool when it's wet and sun tan cream on its 2€,again, not advertised. They do change them once in a week for you but they do become smelly. A lot of family's here even though it's an adult only hotel,children looked a lot younger than 15. We always book adult only so that was a shock as there were at least 6 families here. The evening entertainment is dreadful. They put the better acts on over the road in the other hotel but there are 300 children in that hotel so we just didn't want to sit there with them running , screaming all over . They go for a chilled out vide here which is too boring especially as I'd say we were the oldest here ( in our 50s) so could have been better. Just a few tweaks here and there and you'd have a fantastic hotel. It just seems a bit money oriented when people haven't got that extra to spend when they've already paid a lot for the hotel.

The positives about this hotel is that the staff are lovely, the place is so clean, the food is nice and the bedroom was beautiful. A few things that let this hotel down and would stop me re -booking are- the sunbeds were what I looked at on the pictures when considering this hotel are lovely padded double beds but what they don't tell you is you have to spend 25 eros per day to lie on them. These beds dominate a small area and the uncomfortable beds that are left for peiple who don't want to pay are swuashed together and half the bed beds are wmpty most of the day. If you want to change your sunbed towel it's 2 eros also. We didn't as we believe in the costs etc but the do get wet etc and uncomfortable. Breakfast is served in the hotel itself but you have to go over the road for dinner which is the hotel with kids and eat upstairs. The entertainment is awful. Over in the kids hotel that has the better entertainment but we didn't pay extra to be adult only to have 300 kids running around. Boring saxophone players in adult only. We are in our late 50s and around the pool was young couple and bizarre family's and I'm sure they would have wanted a bit better entertainment provided. I know they are saying a laid back environment but that is also all day. Give people a choice. It sounds like I'm complaining but I just want people to be aware of this as the hotel is lovely but needs some tweets. I'm sure the hotel is large enough to accommodate a hotel reception in it rather than that be in the kids hotel.
