Galaxy Royal Suites Hotel

We were a family of 5 and it was just perfect ! We had two rooms on the 28th floor, spectacular view on one side Nile and Pyramids, and the other side, the beautiful Mosque city view, just amazing. But the best of the best is the service, the two receptionist, a lady and a guy, so helpful, to match our needs, organising airport transfer, uber which are safer than taxi in Cairo, everything to make us as happy as possible. Rooms are very nice, spacious, clean, excellent beds, what can you ask more, just thanks to the team.

Das Galaxy Royal befindet sich in einem Hochhaus am Nil bei einer Brücke die nach Gize führt. Die Apartments befinden sich im 38. und 39. Stock, sind also ganz oben. Der Ausblick auf Nil und Pyramiden ist einmalig und ja, royal. Das Apartment das wir bewohnten war sehr gross. Die Einrichtung wirkt ein wenig "verlebt" ist aber sauber und ok. Leider waren die Fenster nicht richtig abgedichtet und es herrschte permanent Durchzug was gerade im Winter weder angenehm noch gesund ist. Auch der Lift der zu den Apartments hoch fährt wirkt nicht gerade sehr vertrauenseinflössend. Ein richtiger Service und ein paar Reparaturen an der Bedienung würden wohl schon viel bringen. Das war auch schon alles an Negativem. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und repräsentiert die ägyptische Gastfreundschaft von seiner besten Seite. Das ägyptische Frühstück war üppig und gut. Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. In der Umgebung hats viele Restaurants, Läden, Confiserien und man bekommt alles was man braucht. Zu den Pyramiden dauerts nicht lange, genauso zum (alten) ägyptischen Museum. Fazit, ein idealer Platz zum die wirklich tolle Stadt Kairo näher kennen zu lernen.

Reserve 5 noches en este hotel. Cuando llegamos nos dicen que nos tenemos que cambiar 3 veces de habitación durante la estancia, en fin, era tarde y acepte, craso error. Nos dieron segun ellos una suite, tenia 2 habitaciones, un salon y un baño. Asi suena bien pero hay que verlo para creerlo. Sucio (cercos de hongos alrededor de los grifos), oscuro, enchufes arrancados, marcos de las puertas destrozadas. El baño tenia ducha y un aparato que parecía para limpiar el suelo apoyado en la pared, pues resulta que se inundaba todo y tu tenias que recoger el agua con ese aparato. Ni un solo toallero para poner las toallas. Ni una toalla de ducha sino de lavabo. En las camas solo hay sabana bajera, en caso de querer taparte lo tienes que hacer con lo que ponen en los pies de la cama para poner las maletas. Una de las habitaciones sin aire acondicionado, y hablamos de El Cairo donde fresco no hace. Podria estar hasta mañana contando cosas que no me gustaron. Lo unico bueno son las vistas que son buenisimas. Al dia siguiente dijimos que nos ibamos de alli y que nos devolvieran el dinero y para que lo hicieran tuvimos que amenazar con llamar a la policia turística, en fin, que para llorar. No se la gente que escribe buenas críticas si ha estado en este hotel porque es de pelicula de miedo
