Great National The Brackenborough Hotel

Went to a ball on Saturday night and had stayed in the hotel. The jacuzzi bath didn't work, and we're given very little loo roll. The bed was so uncomfortable. At the ball, the food was awful. Mass produced with no seasoning. The only nice thing i ate was the cheesecake.

We stayed there for one night as part of a wedding party. Nothing was too much trouble. It's a beautiful place with great staff. I would like to say a special thank you to Donna on reception, who went above and beyond to help us and make our stay perfect. Will definitely be back!

We were very lucky that my Sister gifted us a voucher for an afternoon at Brackenborough as a Christmas present. We went on a Saturday afternoon, lots of people having the afternoon tea, it was very popular and now we can see why! The service is great the the afternoon tea fabulous. With unlimited tea and /or coffee we didn't notice until we'd nearly finished that the tea is 'Seaside Themed', cleverly thought up! Bottom layer - Fish n Chips in a paper cone, a cheese burger (Slider), Mini Quiche, Finger sandwiches. Middle layer - biscuit crumbs (representing the sand!), Candy floss (representing the sea foam), Mini Donuts with toffee sauce, chocolate sea shells and seaside rock sweets. Top Layer - 99 ice cream cones filled with squirty cream and custard (we ate these first because of them melting) Fruit Scones, Cornish cream and strawberry jam. It was all delicious but the cheese burger slider was outstanding! And I have to mention the tea, I don't know what tea they use but it was really nice! We will be going back, can't wait.

Spent two days here for Macka and India's wedding. Superb location, room superb, and the ambience and experience in the Tennyson suite were brilliant from start to finish. Staff excellent, food exquisite. There's nothing too much trouble for the staff and team. We've had a lovely time and won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Had four night stay in lake view lodge, first had lunch in hotel restaurant on arrival, food and waiting staff were excellent. Had two other meals which were extremely good. Could not recommend enough. The lakeside lodge was perfect the interior,view and hot tub. The four night stay was perfect.

Attended a wedding here recently. All i can say and advise is when booking a wedding package please book your own dj separately. The one included in the package was honestly horrendous and I’m not quite sure they can even call him a dj he had not one song anyone asked for even such as Taylor swift for the young children at one point he played an opera song which everyone just had to laugh because we couldn’t quite believe he thought that was a good song choice to play. The bride and groom felt so embarrassed at just how bad he was. So please think twice before accepting there dj included because they can literally make or break your wedding atmosphere and he DEFINITELY BROKE IT. If the hotel read this review please take on board and do better. FIND BETTER. Otherwise everything else was lovely food was great venue was great and the hotel was lovely.

Check in was at 4 which I thought was late. Turned up a bit earlier and asked if our accommodation was ready. They said not until 4. Then when I walked away the receptionist said to another member of staff that she does not understand why people ask early when it says check in is at 4pm. We went to look at lodge 1 just after 3 pm and it was ready then. They was just putting water in the hot tub which they forgot about so when we eventually able to check it the hot tub was overflowing. Lodge 1 was ok. Could do with a deep clean. Curtain was dirty. Blinds was dusty. Carpet looks like it’s getting bleached from the hot tub. It was a nice couple of days away. We ate in the restaurant. The only thing we did not like was the chips had a funny taste to them. Not sure what they cook them in.

I have just returned from the most amazing family holiday at Holly Manor House. From the initial check in at reception there was a friendly vibe where everything was explained very well. Upon entering the house we were amazed by the huge gated driveway and front garden which is kept beautifully. All the bedrooms are decorated so nice with lovely modern en-suites. The beds were very comfortable ensuring a perfect night's sleep. We had a little surprise on the beds of some Easter chocolates- thank you! The downstairs has 2 sitting rooms and a conservatory with a pool/ping pong table. This was great for all the family to have plenty of space and fun playing games. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and a seperate utility with washing machine & dryer. The house was kept very clean with everything we needed for our stay. We brought 2 dogs with us and they loved the huge garden to play in and the spacious downstairs. We had a big hot tub which was maintained every morning. This was very relaxing and we could admire the view of the beautiful garden. Holly Manor is located at Brackenborough Lakes Resort where there are other lodges and a hotel which was nice to walk around. There is also a restaurant and an outside bar area which will be lovely to sit out at in the summer months. We travelled into Louth by car which was 5 minutes. Its a lovely town with shops, supermarkets, bars & restaurants. A big thank you to Lisa for talking to me over the phone and making sure we had the best holiday. We will definitely be returning later in the year and highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking. Thank you ❤️

I can't recommend the Brackenborough Hotel enough. We threw a Charity Ball in the Tennyson suite of the Brackenborough Hotel this last weekend. Richard, Dave and all the staff were incredibly helpful every single step of the way. The entire event felt seemless and professional because of these staff members. The food was INCREDIBLE...! It came out perfectly presented, hot and on time. There were many MANY empty plates. The venue is also beautiful, and accessible for all guests. There are no steps at all and the accessible toilet has been perfectly designed. From all of us at Naomi's Garden we say THANK YOU for making our event one to remember. Here's to the next event.
