Wombat's City Hostel Budapest

I had a terrible two nights here!!!! The service attitude was really bad. They didn't listen to customers seriously 😡😡😡 1. Because my luggage was delayed by the airline, they were supposed to deliver it directly to the hotel. I specifically told the front desk that "I must sign for it myself to ensure the luggage is correct and to get a copy of the receipt." The front desk agreed, and I even canceled my plans to stay at the hotel for half a day waiting for it. But in the end, nobody notified me, and I didn't get the receipt. Now, my luggage has issues, and there's no one taking responsibility. When I asked the front desk, "I need to sign for it myself, where's the receipt?" They said, "Oh, we just signed for it, no copy." Then they completely ignored me and nobody took responsibility for the issue. 2. I requested a late check-out the day before I leave, so I could check out at 1 pm. This cost 5 Euro!!! But when I returned to the hostel at 12 pm, my room key couldn't open the door. I had to waste time going back to the front desk. Then, even in my room, the locker wouldn't open, so I had to go back to the front desk again. This made my whole trip very rushed, and I'm very unhappy about it. In both cases, your staff showed no apologies or compensation. So, I don't recommend this hotel at all. It made my entire Budapest trip very unpleasant. 我在這裡度過了很爛的兩個晚上！！！！ 服務態度 真的很不好 沒有認真聽顧客的話😡😡😡 1. 因為我的行李被航空公司延誤抵達 航空公司會直接寄到旅館 我特別告訴櫃檯說 「一定要讓我自己簽收 我要確保行李正確跟要拿簽收單副本」 櫃檯也跟我答應我了 並且我還取消行程 整個半天都待在旅館 結果！！！！ 最後還是沒有人通知我！！！ 然後我還是沒有拿到簽收單！！！ 現在我行李有問題了 找不到人負責 我跑去問櫃檯說「我要自己簽名啊，簽收單呢？」 他們說「喔我們就只是簽收，沒有副本」 然後就完全不理我了 完全沒有人要為這件事情負責 2. 我前一天晚上申請了late check-out 所以我可以下午1點在check-out 而且這個要價5歐元！！！！！ 結果我12點回到青旅時 我的房卡已經打不開房間門了 害我又需要花時間下去櫃檯 接下來我到房間裡面 置物櫃還是打不開 所以我又要下去櫃檯 而且還是磁扣的問題 他們換一個磁扣上來就可以了 導致我整個行程超級匆忙 而且你們都完全沒有道歉 這讓我很不高興= = 這兩件事情 你們的店員也都沒有任何歉意跟賠償 所以我超級不推薦這間旅館 讓我整個在布達佩斯的旅程都很不高興

Very bad I left the hostel after 3 hours because when everywhere bad smell and room smelled smokey. I. Don’t recommend to anyone to go there.

My full marks go to the front desk staff, they were warm and friendly and made me feel very warm. The room was also very clean and comfortable, I slept very well. The pros are very convenient to take the airport bus. I would stay again, I love Budapest and this hotel.

Very good location. If you’re coffee lover, there’re local coffee shop near this hostel and even starbucks located right next to hostel. Literally 10 sec away from the hostel on foot. Also there’s Deak Ference Ter Metro station, so it’ll be very easy to go everywhere and also airport. (Plus took 15~20minutes to get famous St.stephen’s square and Buda castel spot) Excepting the location, hostel is just on average.

I would highly recommend this hostel to budget travellers. The staff members are welcoming and nice, and the room I stayed was clean. Housekeeping is provided every day and the location was perfect for accessing to public transportation and restaurants.

Didn't enjoy my stay.  8 person mixed dorm. Bathroom is in the room rather than the hallway so every time someone has a shower, you hear it. There are clubs very nearby so its loud until 2 or 3 am. If you want a quiet hostel for an early night, this is not it. Positives are the lockers are secure. Socket above the bed.  Location is convenient for walking or transport.  Fast friendly check in/out. Reasonably clean. If you're out partying then it's a good choice. If not then maybe stay somewhere else

Clean and large room. Close to the bars so can come back quickly after a party. Feels safe and not noisy.

I highly recommend this hotel. I booked a 4 beds room (female). I came to Budapest for the Hungarian Grand Prix and was happy to see that, although it was very busy, the room was clean and the service was good. I’ll book this hostel again next year!
