I'm pretty low-key when it comes to staying in a motel. I understand that you get what you pay for, and I'm fine with that. Sometimes, though, certain things can't be overlooked.
The rug that was on the floor under the bed, and extending out to the sides, had rolled up on the sides and corners. I tripped countless times over this, and it got old really fast.
The smoke alarm over the bed was hanging from a wire, and I'm not sure if it actually worked or not.
The bathroom floor was freezing, literally... it was as if the cold ground was right underneath you. This was with the heat turned on in the room.
The bathroom light would sometimes turn on, and most times, it wouldn't at all. You could flip the switch on and it would stay dark for five minutes, and then, all of the sudden, turn on for no rhyme or reason. This could be a safety hazard if you're in the shower, etc.
The main room floor has wooden boards which gave way as you walk across the room. They would sag under your feet, if that makes sense. It felt like the floor was going to break through in certain areas.
When I was checking out, there was no one at the desk. I wanted a receipt printed, but again no one was there. A custodian tried calling the concierge, but after waiting 20 minutes, I decided to leave.
Again, I can look over most things... and while it was just a place to stay while exploring Bryce, again, certain things can't be overlooked.
