We called 6 times on the drive up to request a lower ground floor - phone never answered, despite being on hold for ages. We eventually got through to main PI number and they assured us they would message the hotel. We later found out they hadn't; had the hotel been more busy they wouldn't have been able to accomodate changing us from floor 4 to floor 1. When we got there, I pulled over and my wife went it to check on blue badge parking, she was told where it was and we drove round and waited for over five minutes - the barrier remained closed, the call button ignored. My wife (who is fully able, thankfully) was able to get out and walk round to the front of the hotel to get assistance. In the end, someone else let us in. Had I been on my own, I wouldn't have been able to fetch assistance without help. I was also a bit put off by how dirty all the carpets were in communal areas and in our room. Positives: the location for us was excellent, there was eventually blue badge parking, staff were friendly when you spoke to them.
