We booked the Attika suite and a basic room for our party. The basic room was comfortable enough although the bathroom and shower space was a bit on the small size. The suite was much more spacious and easily accommodated three members of the party including a wheelchair user. The bathroom in the suite has helpful adaptions for people of limited mobility, the only downside being that wheelchair access is via the rear of the hotel and basement. Both rooms were supplied with a coffee machine and a few pods. Breakfast provided a limited but adequate range of items including cereals, meats, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, etc. to get the day off to a good start. The in house restaurant provided a delicious evening meal in a relaxed environment - although not the cheapest option for dining in the town it was definitely worth the price in our opinion. The location is just a couple of minutes walk from either the town centre or the train station with easy connections to places such as Visp and Zermatt making this an ideal base for exploring the area. The best aspect of the hotel has to be the warm welcome that we received from every member of staff we encountered - something that I've found to be hit and miss in other locations.

A lovely cosy hotel, we were given a very warm and friendlywelcome. We had a beautiful well appointed room , a view of the mountains and an extremely comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious and served in a delightful dining room. Brig is a charming historic town with excellent restaurants and an exciting feeling of transition as it has been a stopover for people preparing to cross the Alps for centuries....and still is today.

Small single room for one night stay as part of a stop-over for a longer journey into the mountains. Super clean and comfortable bed. The breakfast offered a wide choice including 5 or 6 different home made breads. The brioche was fab with hot chocolate. Very friendly reception staff.

Friendly efficient reception staff. Clean rooms, comfy beds. Good bathroom with dressing gown and useful selection of cosmetics. Well equip rooms with tv, study area and small mini bar. Bar staff and breakfast staff welcoming and helpful. Breakfast good selection continental offerings with surprise addition of cooked bacon and eggs too.

Our room was one of the larger ones with a sitting area and a small balcony, very clean and modern. Bathroom was small but well lit. Perhaps a grab rail would be a good idea as step into shower is quite high. We had meals included, starters and desserts were good but mains a little disappointing and service was a bit erratic. First evening the waitress started clearing side plates whilst we were still eating dessert leaning across us. Last evening service was very slow but collecting payment for drinks wasn’t!!!! Breakfast was of a good quality but at times replenishment of dishes was slow. Location is great near to railway station, shops and old town and reception staff very helpful.

I was absolutely blown away by this beautiful kind little hotel. From the beginning, the staff was very welcoming and warm, the hotel room was tip top everything perfectly clean and lovely, appreciated slippers waiting for me and also bottles of mineral water. The views from the windows were amazing - snow covered mountains behind the historical town. Blinds on the windows so you can completely black out the room in the morning. What really got me was the kindness in the morning - I had an early appointment and was trying to get a taxi but they were all booked. So the lovely receptionist lady asked a gentleman working in the hotel to drive me and they refused to take money for it! This family-like treatment of guests is becoming rarer and rarer and it really warmed my heart. To finish my impression, I was late for a check out as my appointment took longer than planned, and again, no charge for this, no problem, just smile on face! This would not happen in England where you get charged a lot of money for just half an hour late check out. I really look forward to have the opportunity to come back to Brig and stay in this amazingly welcoming and beautiful hotel. Kate

The Hotel Ambassador, Brig gave my wife and I a lovely welcome, a spacious, well-equipped room, great food, an attentive and hospitable owner and Manager with lovely staff who maintain high standards of traditional service (which we very much appreciated) and hospitality, and so convenient for the station (even with baggage) and the town centre. We want to visit again, hopefully longer than just our 3 nights this time.

Lovely hotel, close to train station and town centre. The staff were very friendly. Rooms well thought out with everything you might need. Flannels, spare toothbrush, coffee machine, plenty of English channels on TV and clean powerful shower. Very comfortable bed!!

Rooms clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom on the small size. No bath just a shower. We stayed as a group on a tour. Evening meal selections we had were limited, though they were well prepared. Breakfast selection good. Location near to railway station in old part of town.
