Rock Point Inn

The pub is in a prime location. We had an excellent room for four nights, great breakfasts and dinners, great views. We had the only room in the roof space (Room 7), and the 50 steps to get there could be a drawback for some, especially the last 14 within the room itself. Staff happily handled our luggage for us. Car parking is off-site, less than 10 minutes up the hill. Staff were very helpful.

Perfect position right on the seafront although sadly were unable to take much advantage of the view as it was pouring down on the evening of our visit. We were given a warm welcome and shown to a great table by the window. The service was superb and attentive - thank you Patsy. Our meals and desserts were all excellent and the best we had over the course of our week's holiday in Lyme Regis. Apologies this review is late!

Well what can say but but absolutely awful. Booked in for Sunday evening dinner in the bar area. Not much left on the menu at 7pm so quite limited on choice . When the food arrived it was basically heated food in the microwave and pretty tasteless . The pie was hard , chips soggy and veg over cooked and non descript . The roast was the same !! After the meal came I was charged £18 to much as the waiter had so he said made a mistake even though the receipt showed the correct amount . Attention to detail !!! Won't be recommending soon or visiting again .

I went to Rock point inn with some friends for Sunday roast as it had been highly recommended. On booking, I had requested a window seat to overlook the sea. I was told that they would do their best to accommodate us. On arrival, those tables were available but they said that we were to be sat somewhere else despite us requesting them. The place was fairly empty at this time and by the time we left, no one else had occupied those seats, so that was the first disappointment. The second disappointment was that despite the offer of cracking with the belly pork, there was a very slim slither of very soggy crackling, and the whole plate, including the veg, was swimming in gravy, so on top of the crackling, everything else was soggy too. Maybe this was because we had a fairly late sitting, I don’t know?? Having said that, the roast potatoes were lovely. The ambience of the place was good and the staff were friendly, but I don’t think we’ll be going back for a roast. We will return for a drink or two though

We had delicious food and great atmosphere and menu (we can highly recommend the steak & ale pie and the tagliatelle). Our genuine thanks to the kitchen staff tonight! (15th May). Will and the rest of the serving team were attentive, friendly and welcoming!

What a lovely surprise to pop in on a Sunday evening to find they were still serving Sunday roasts. Food was excellent but the whole evening was made so much better by the gorgeous staff Patty and Jessie. Certainly hope that Erin Mess didn’t contain any calories 🤦‍♀️. Thanks guys😊

Lovely location, very friendly staff and quick service. Lovely meal, although some things weren’t available on the menu but what we had was a reasonable price and enjoyable. Sat by the window which was lovely for an evening meal. Would recommend.

Amazing spot. Fab views. Hotel room with sea view fantastic. Quiet and comfortable. Nespresso coffee machine and Elemis accessories in the bathroom a bonus and added to the luxury. Food and breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we stepped in to our check out. Staff looking after the rooms were impeccable and nice to have bed made and coffee pods topped up during stay. Would highly recommend
