L'Abeaupinière

Stunning chateaux filled with history and elegance. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious dinner which was accompanied by lovely wines. Definitely recommend this place as a stopover or a destination for exploring the area.

My wife and I had the great pleasure of staying yesterday at this exceptional B&B near Chateauroux in France for an overnight stop. The house, a classical chateau from the 19th century, is extremely beautiful, as are the garden and park surrounding it. The French owners, Mr and Mrs d'Ussel, are charming, friendly and welcoming. They are talented cooks and wine experts and run their establishment in the best Swiss hotelier tradition. An elegant dining room, where guests enjoy delicious French cuisine and wine from the owners' AOC classified vineyard in the Languedoc, is set with crystal, porcelain and damask table cloth and napkins. The bedroom we had (a junior suite) was equally well furnished and equipped with a comfortable bed, fine bed linen and ensuite bathroom of a high standard. All in all, we were exceptionally impressed by our stay at l'Abeaupiniere. Indeed, having stayed at many exclusive hotels over the years, we can firmly state that we have seldom, if ever, encountered such hospitality, attention to detail and concern for the comfort and satisfaction of their guests, as we did yesterday in the shape of the d'Ussels. We warmly recommend their lovely B&B to anyone looking for a truly special place to stay in their region of France.

Nous avons passé une nuit à l’Abeaupinière, c’était vraiment dépaysant, relaxant. Notre chambre était grande, propre, confortable, le château est très bien entretenu. La table d’hôte mise à l’ombre du château était excellente, merci pour cette bonne cuisine du terroir. Petit déjeuner varié, il ne manquait rien. Brigittte et Philibert sont tellement accueillants, souriants, gentils. quel plaisir et quelle chance d’avoir découvert cette étape par hasard. Nous y reviendrons très certainement, je ne peux que recommander cette adresse. Merci Emilie & Yves

Etape improvisée au retour de Bretagne et belle découverte ! Loin de la banalité et de la standardisation de bien des lieux nous avons trouvé là charme et sérénité ! Château et jardins splendides! L accueil des propriétaires est particulièrement chaleureux et généreux
