La Colina Hotel Cottage

I enjoyed a fabulous 10 days at La Colina and have no regrets! Federico made sure that everything was taken care of and simple. The bed is comfy and the hospitality is absolutely wonderful! Rosanna and Nairobi were the most amazing team and made the start of every day absolute perfection - so kind, helpful, and great cooks! I had a new adventure almost every day including a coffee tour and an in room massage. I traveled as a solo woman, and was a bit nervous at first, but it was so easy!! The only thing to keep in mind is that traffic in Bogota is no joke! It makes LA traffic seem like a breeze. It takes quite a while to get to and from some of the tourist areas and attractions so just prepare yourself. I would return by Uber every afternoon and Carmen and Thamara would greet me to see if I needed anything to eat or drink. The restaurant is lovely and the atmosphere is fabulous. Book it!

I went to La Colina where they hosted a wedding ceremony for my brother. It was such a fantastic time! The food is great and the hotel rooms are very homie and unique. The owner also speaks very good English and Spanish. Would recommend if you want a more homey modern hotel stay with amazing food in Colombia Bogotá!

We loved the atmosphere of the boutique hotel set in a private wooded setting overlooking the city. There were lots of amazing art works everywhere, the food was great and the owner Fred speaks great English…he was a great host with whom we enjoyed several conversations. My friend and I stayed for a day and a half after attending a wedding. Federico and Tamara took such good care of us, making sure we had transit to and from the airport (and some yummy coffee/food as needed). We did spend a long time in traffic when commuting from downtown Bogota but if you are looking for an oasis from all that traffic, this is absolutely the place to be. Will definitely try and visit again!

La Colina is simply magical. I truly felt like I was staying with friends & family. The accommodations are thoughtfully beautiful just like the Staff, and the food is curated, fresh, and so delicious. I’m very fortunate to travel all over the world for my work and La Colina is one of the most cherished & memorable stays I have experienced. Many thanks to Federico & the entire Staff for the warm welcome and going above and beyond to take such good care of me during my stay. If you’re traveling solo or looking for a relaxing & romantic getaway, don’t miss out on staying at this gem!

Read the summary that La Colina has in TripAdvisor. Pretty much sums up the hotel. However, what it leaves out are the wonderful amazing people who run this place. They treat you like family. A huge thanks to the staff for making our stay so memorable. You embraced our family into yours and we will not soon forget. Also -Frederico is a walking encyclopedia on Bogota. Anything you need or want- just ask him. He saved us a lot of time being stuck in the Worst traffic in South America. The art collection is truly incredible. The food is also outstanding. The catch of the day with passion fruit sauce is excellent. Also the breakfast leaves some 5 star hotels to shame. The property is beautiful. Great place to just come and escape the bustle of Bogota. We will definitely be back.
