Academia Resort

Think of this place as a quirky bed and breakfast (available for an extra charge) surrounded by a University District and just outside the ancient walls of the upper city of Bergamo. Our room on the 1st floor featured two double beds pushed together in one room and one double bed in a second sleeping area. The bathroom was clean and nice. Out the back door is a picnic table and lawn that is great for a picnic. The walk to the top of the old city is steep but a great view. Just downhill from the front door is a great little coffee shop, a bakery, a cheese store and a wine store! Perfect to have so much so near, as well as a nice restaurant next to the University art museum. A special thanks to Nuala, whose fluency in English and kind spirit made everything better.

The apar**ent was very clean , spacious and tidy, fit for a family. No parking near the hotel, the only place to park is about 7 min walk from the place and we had to do several rounds with the car to find a suitable spot.

Cleaned efficient and very central.

The accommodation is very well located for accessing both the Old and New Town. It is less than five minutes walk to a supermarket, bakery, and some coffee shops. It is located nearby two of the city's main art museums. Staying here gives you all of the facilities of the new Bergamo including easier access to the train station and bus routes but left you close to the historic sights of old Bergamo. The cleaning of the apar**ents is first class and the friendly, helpful approach of all of the staff makes staying here a joy. We shad a family room for 2 adults and 4 children. The cooking facilities include a hot plate and a microwave. More than enough to whip up simple meals but you won't be producing feasts. Some small items missing from the utensils, such as a bottle opener, but these are only quibbles.

Pas de volets aux fenêtres, une fenêtre qui donne sur le couloir qui est éclairé toute la nuit donc difficile d'être dans le noir pour dormir ; une seule pièce pour 6, une table pour 4 alors qu'il y a 6 couchages, petit équipement insuffisant ; sinon, c'est bien situé, au calme et nos interlocuteurs étaient tout à fait courtois et serviables.

Costa come un vero hotel ma il servizio è da ostello! Stanza FREDDA, molto RUMORE dal piano di sopra, orrendo e inutile angolo cottura davanti al letto, dieci minuti per far arrivare l'acqua calda nella doccia, solo un telo doccia ma niente asciugamani! Mai più!
