Hotel geboekt en betaalt voor de periode 20-23 maart. Bij aankomst in de kamer lagen er nog lange haren in het bad waardoor we twijfels hadden over de hygiëne. Rond 18.00 u is het beginnen regenen en algauw zagen we dat het in de badkamer het water binnendruppelde. Handdoeken gelegd om het getik te dempen. Tegen de morgen was dit niet op één plaats maar op een zevental. De ganse nacht geen oog dichtgedaan van de regen op het dak en het getik in de badkamer. Volgende morgen hebben later weten dat wij de twee resterende nachten niet in het hotel wensten te blijven. Er werd ons een andere kamen toegewezen maar deze lag net als onze eerste kamer net onder het dak. Deze werd geweigerd. We hebben naar een compensatie gevraagd maar deze werd geweigerd. Hopelijk hebben ze veel geluk met onze centen.

Superfijn rustig en gezellig hotel. Service vd mensen is ronduit tiptop in orde, en je kunt er indien gewenst ook uitstekend eten. Aanrader! Ik heb een heerlijke 10 dagen kunnen genieten van de gastvrijheid, de leuke ontspannende gesprekken bij het ontbijt en aantal keer van het diner.

Have just enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay in this beautiful & charming hotel. The owners and staff have managed to create a peaceful & relaxing oasis in this busy area and their hospitality and attention to detail were exceptional. Dinner and breakfast by the pool were delicious and beautifully presented. There were extra touches of assorted dips & creamy oven baked garlic and personalised touches that added to the experience. We have promised ourselves to return and explore another of the individually designed rooms (this time we chose Sultan Boabdil’s Chamber) Until then we have a lovely ceramic purchased from the pottery display to remember them by.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The hotel is lovely and great care was taken to ensure we were comfortable. The owner, Bernhardt, shared how he started the hotel. We had a wonderful dinner there on our first night. The Cava and Passionfruit cocktail was amazing! Margo expertly staffs the front desk and each morning cooked us a lovely breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel!!

This place is simply lovely. The building is historic and quirky and has been carefully and lovingly restored. The management and staff are terrific, the rooms are totally cool, the restaurant is off the charts. We loved our stay here and dream of returning some day.

Clean comfortable and welcoming. Great reception. Welcome text prior to arriving. Location in the heart of Benahavis. A few steps in the resort may prove to be a challenge for some. Efficient and delightful hosts.

Great stay , very comfortable stay. Welcomed by Margo and shown around. Hotel is very quaint with lots of character. Very handy to town area. . Parking was along the street but with no issues. Breakfast was selection and very very nice, Lots of coffee available

A lovely character boutique hotel, only 9 rooms I believe, parts of the hotel dating back over 500 years. The hotel has a moorish/North African theme with a serene and peaceful outdoor pool and terrace area. A lovely warm welcome from Margot. (She also makes a delicious Gin and tonic) Lovely rooms. Superb service, unbelievably good food, very clean and welcoming..... Ideal for couples. Our first time here will definitely revisit.

Stayed here for 5 days at end of May 2022 and had a great time. Booking in was simplicity itself and the nice receptionist showed us to our room (The Christopher Columbus room). The room was charming and very atmospheric (just like in the hotel photos). Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and bedroom was very clean and welcoming. The owners go out of their way to make you welcome and no request seems to be too much. We used the lovely restaurant while we were there and (like most of the other reviews) the meal was absolutely excellent (served to us in the beautiful outside area overlooking the pool. Location of the hotel couldn't be better - within easy strolling distance of the bars and restaurants in the lovely town of Benahavis. Will certainly consider staying here again when we return (which we will !!!!).
