Dream Apartments St Thomas Hall

Deze plek is een absolute grap, bij aankomst was er geen gratis parkeergelegenheid zoals op de website vermeld staat, toen we in ons appartement aankwamen werkte de tv niet en het warme water werkte niet, probeerde het bedrijf te bellen 5 + keer en geen antwoord. Luide muziek de hele nacht. Er is een bewaker aanwezig op het terrein, maar die is die nacht slechts één keer gezien. Om 03.15 uur klopte er iemand dronken op onze deur en ik voelde me er erg onveilig door. Ik bleef uiteindelijk niet de t****e nacht, want er was niets leuks aan deze plek en ik wilde er gewoon even vanaf.

Trying to phone belfast reception is very hard ,nobody answers the phone ,once we got the 2 codes to enter outside door and room ,very strong smell of smoking cigarettes in bedroom ,sofa u could smell urine ,it was clean but on main busy road ,not like the picture showing on trip site front door banging everything some1 came in or out so not a good sleep ,it done for the 2 nights but won't be back

This is my second visit here in a month, as I had to come back to Belfast. I am here now, at 2.30am in the morning , wide awake, as the horrendous noise from upstairs is preventing me from sleeping AGAIN! I was on the verge of calling the police as I honestly thought the ceiling was coming in. It sounded like furniture was being thrown around and as a solo female traveller, I was terrified! This is the student quarter and the students rent these apartments for parties. I can hear them all easily as the noise travels throughout the building. The banging of the doors is equally awful. I’ve given 2 stars because as far as budget apartments go, they are fine. The bed is comfy, there are all the usual amenities and it’s very central. HOWEVER, if you want to sleep at night (as opposed to having to catch up during the day), I would avoid like the plague. I would absolutely not recommend these apartments for families. The other guests here are young, selfish and irresponsible. I had the misfortune to be here over Halloween and I’m not even going to go there! Unless you have a very tight budget or are an insomniac, I would book elsewhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We booked for 4 nights and ended up leaving after the 2nd night it was so bad. Let me start with the pros. The apartment is spacious, that was the only pro. Now for the cons. The list is long so I will bullet them out. 1. The front doors slam shut and are LOUD! The slamming of the doors was continuous all through the night. It was impossible to sleep. 2. Walls are paper thin. One can hear full conversations from other tenants. 3. Shower would not drain and full if mold! It overflowed onto the floor, we were taking less than 5 minutes! Oh, forget about having a shelf or anywhere to place your toiletries. 4. Towels. We booked 4 nights for 2 people. We were only given 2 bath towels and 2 small towels. We had to use the small towels to mop up the water from the shower! They did not have any kitchen towels either. 5. Only a half roll of toilet paper! We had to buy more. 6. Washer/dryer. The door was broken so when I got out of the shower the kitchen floor was flooded as well. Had to use the other small towels to mop it up. 8. Check in process. I did not receive any information prior to arrival. We arrived to a locked door and no one on site to help. Called them and had to take a picture of my ID, email it to them, wait for them to receive it. I then had to give my credit card over the phone, which I was not happy about at all while standing outside on a noisy street. 7. Customer Service, or lack of. I called to inform them of the over flowing shower and washer. I was told someone would come to fix them. I also requested more towels. I let them know we would be out but they could enter. No one ever came.

1) Check in process is extremely complex and unsafe (why do I need to do my credit card numbers to someone on a phone who I don't know?). You have to pay £100 for every apartment. 2) I booked 3 apartments in the city centre in Belfast but after a month they moved my booking to the other apartment so I got 3 apartments very far from Belfast with no price adjustment at all. 3) I booked 3 apartments (2 two bedroom and 1 one bedroom) but I got 1 two bedroom and 2 one bedroom so 1 person had to sleep on the sofa. Again, no price adjustment at all. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Originally booked Obel 64 on Belfasts riverside for a short stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. Had our transport, restaurants and itinerary for our trip all pre planned and most of it pre booked prior to arriving only to have a message late the night before travelling to tell us they moved our reservation to another location due to "unforseen circumstances" no other explanation. St Thomas Hall was the opposite side of the city centre to where we should have been staying and there was apparently no other options for relocating us and it was also non refundable. I therefore spent the night prior to travelling, rather than getting a good night sleep, cancelling/amending all our travel arrangements for the whole trip, and reorganising our restaurants and itinerary. Although they upgraded our room to include an extra bedroom, I ended up spending much more money because of the additional transport and cancellation/amendment fees. The good bits - reception staff I spoke to to get key code was friendly and polite, accessing the apartment was easy, the apartment itself was spacious, modern and clean. I had organised a birthday package on arrival for extra which included prosecco, a cake, balloons and banners which was very nicely done 👍, the beds and sofas were comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen had everything we needed, there were some take away and sit in food establishments nearby including a mini coop, regular buses to city centre from bus stop just down from apartment. The not so good bits - no longer had the river view or the main attractions within a reasonable walking distance for my 9 year old son (which were the whole reason I booked Obel 64), ALL the internal doors were so loud/squeaky and no door stoppers provided to prop them open which was not so good through the night, there were only 2 pillows provided per double bed and may as well not have had any as they were so flat and thin, one of the bedroom door handles was loose and threatening to fall off, as the property is on a main road there was so much loud traffic right into the early hours and the windows didn't do much to dampen the noise (should have brought my ear plugs). Overall experience was very mixed. The apartment itself was comfortable enough and served the needs we had for our short stay, however, it's absolutely not the property or location I would have booked for our particular stay and having read other reviews it seems to be a regular thing which is very worrying and it was a very stressful experience. On that basis I'd be wary booking again.
