Een kleine en voortreffelijke gastgezin, de faciliteiten en items in de kamer zijn uniek en op hun plaats, en de butlerservice is attent en gepast. De iris-tweepersoonsslaapkamer heeft een brede balk en een hoge balk, en een prachtig klein sachet voor drakenbootraces wordt ook aangeboden als cadeau voor het inchecken op het Dragon Boat Festival. Het ontbijt en diner zijn huisgemaakt en heerlijk, en de herfstgeur en groene bamboe waar de oude man woont, zijn ook bevredigend. Het café en de binnenplaats zijn klein maar goed uitgerust. Van de vijf winkelierskatten heb ik er vier gezien.Het zijn allemaal familieleden en katten die gewend zijn om de grote wereld te zien.Ze zijn zeer geschikt om te ontspannen in weekenden en vakanties.

We as a group had a wonderful time at this modern boutique hotel with cute garden! Located in a quite street with a lot of greenery around. Staff is very friendly; Service is great, food and drinks are delicious. A perfect spot to unwind, relax and enjoy the nature and the Great Wall!

We stayed one night in May as a brief get away from Beijing city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great for our family - lots of our kids’ favourite dishes for dinner and a lovely breakfast of bacon, pancakes, fruit and coffee, which we ate on the rooftop terrace. We had one each of the smaller and larger en-suite bedrooms - both were clean and comfortable. We all slept very well. There was some construction work (perhaps a visitor car park?) nearby when we walked to the wild wall but this didn’t impact our stay at all. Highly recommended.

This place is cozy and well designed. Literally at the base of the mountains is a quite spot to relax and enjoy the amazing food they prepare for you. Staff is warm and super helpful. I can only recommend to go and disconnect from the city noise!

My wife and I had a really wonderful stay at Momentos, the room was really well designed and comfortable, the location was lovely, tucked away in the Huai Rou mountain valley with a local village nearby that you can walk through to the Xiang Shui Hu scenic area to visit a section of the Great Wall. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with both Asian and Western options, their coffee was great, definitely a nice perk for anyone who enjoys a nice barista coffee in the morning. We had dinner at the B&B as well, it is 88RMB per person with a set menu created on the day with locally produce which was really delicious and the home cooked flavour was wonderful. For anyone looking to take a quick trip into Huai Rou, this spot is truly a gem and highly recommended if you are looking for something that is a bit remote with all the comfortable amenities you would hope to get in a nice boutique style hotel. Also if you are feeling adventurous, you can also visit the nearby Yun Ling village, when you get to the top of the village, there is also a path you can take that leads you to a section of the Great Wall that is a relic to see, you can't climb or access it unfortunately since it is overgrown with vegetation and the structure has literally crumbling over time, it is still really impressive to see up close though and the hike up was quite beautiful too through the rolling hills, part of the path is paved and easy to access, there are sections of the hike where there is a running stream of water you have to cross, so keep that in mind when your shoes could get really wet.
