The service at Bahia Principe was really quite good. Friendly workers at the front desk and concierge/transportation kiosk really helped. The facilities at Bahia Principe are not up to snuff however. The room was old and tired- in need of much care. For example, there were five lamps/lights in the room and two had light bulbs out. My wife wanted to read at night but there was not enough lighting in the room to even read a book for 15 minutes. The small fridge never worked. But the ants on the coach took the cake. No, they literally were on the hunt for cake in the room! If you want a really solid looking property then book at Ambar, not Principe.
On a positive note the mattress and pillows were comfortable.
One other note and seemed very kid friendly... But the property is huge! So huge that many people will want to take the trams to the beach- which was packed and not the best beach in Punta Cana. Later today I will be reviewing the Majestic Colonial which we also stayed in for a week. Want treated like you're a king or queen? Look at the Majestic properties which were worth the extra pesos.

Staff are attentive and helpful. Very much recommended and definitely one place I plan to come back to. The entertainment and food are awesome! The beach area is not the best due to build up of sea**** but that’s nature and they do their best to keep on top of that. The various pool areas and fun make up for it. Thank you Bahia Punta Cana!

Food was sub par, it was impossible to get hot food unless it was midnight at the snack shop and that was just fries

Beautiful property. A little dated but well kept. Wi-Fi didn’t work in the room but worked very well in the common areas. Staff was very accommodating. Shuttle carts worked around the clock. Many excursions to choose from. Entertainment was great. Would definitely go again but might try one of the other hotels on property

Buffet items were barely warm, and much of the property in desperate need of renovation, but the grounds were lovely as were most of the staff we encountered.

Working Personals are very friendly and nice. Whenever we are in punta cana we always preferred to stay in Bahia but at this time we regretted a lot because outside the whole areas were too many mosquitoes it was impossible to walk without a spray and even sometimes spray did not help a lot.. We have asked several people from other resorts if they had mosquitoes as well thought it was common problem but they said no. Next time we will choose other resort.

I was at this property with my family on new years night. We booked for 7 days. Upon checking IN we noticed that rooms are very dirty. My mattress was so uncomfortable and was ripped off from the bottom. Wash room had cockroaches. I called the front desk for an extra bed. I never got that. Staff is so unfriendly that they do not care about customers. Staff is very rude and they don’t know even a sigle word about english. Very hard to communicate with them. After two days of stay we had to move our reservation for Bahia Fantasia but we had to pay more for that. I would say please stay away from Bahia Grand Punta Cana. This location needs alot of renovations, need friendly staff and need to upgrade the property. Only thing I like about was food. They have more options in food as compared to their other resorts in punta cana.

The suite was dirty, smelling moldy, the sheets and the cover old and dusty. The room was full of moschitos and other insects were glued to the curtains. We left right away and went to another resort. They told us we could make a complain but they couldn’t change our room or give us a refund.

The environment is beautiful, the food is good, the drinks are very good, the network is very poor, and there are many mosquitoes. The travel project of coming2 is very good, very interesting, and the price is reasonable. Don't report the tour group near the sea. It is very dangerous. The ultraviolet rays are very strong
