A great resort, with great staff and great amenities. Entertainment throughout the day and some days well into the night. I overall had a great experience and would definitely recommend and also visit again!

I visited Riu Palace Bavaro for my birthday and had a wonderful time. The staff was kind and attentive, and I enjoyed the different theme parties they had during my stay. I would definitely stay again.

Better quality beds, and rooms could be nicer. All around the resort was 9/10 and would come back.

Most of the rooms aren't cleaned, not taken care of, some showers are broken, hot water doesn't always work and moldy. Had to switch 3 rooms because of mold. Their mattresses are moldy. They gotta keep up with the maintenance. Had to call 5 times for room service. Employees don't want to work, not in a energetic mood. Their faces are very upset or not happy. If they're having a bad day, they shouldn't be showing that. I definitely wouldn't go there again.

Kinda like putting lipstick on a pig...cosmetically appealing, but requriued TRUE upgrades. We were on the third floor ,(42 steps ) and no elevator. Greeted by a roach when opening the mini fridge , key panel on the door was fried , shower head looked as if the work wasn't finished. ....not sure if these are just the "leftover "inventory they give to the third party entities or what , but we deserve the same standards and quality as those who book directly with Riu.
The food was good , friendly staff in the dining area , and it made me feel good after the 3rd day they knew or remembered your drink preferences.
The area around the premises were always being cleaned. There were several times throughout the day staff could be observed mopping or cleaning. The cats on the premises were not appealing to me .

Property was okay. Starting to show its age. Food was okay as well. Don't expect to be blown away. Still better than snow and clouds all day.

Bavaro facility is good but in the room lots of small bugs come and moving around in the night time in the room specially when you coming back from dinner and late parties.

this was our 9th time at this resort. It has seen better times. Here's a list of what wasn't working in the room, some of which we initially reported but since it wasn't fixed after several attempts, we didn't bother to report the rest, in order not to waste our time and ruin the mood. We stopped expecting results after the 2nd complaint about the leaking shower gel dispenser that hadn't been fixed.
List:
1. The leaking shower gel dispenser eventually fell off the wall and was "kindly" replaced by a glass of gel. Really - a glass made of glass was filled with gel and placed on the shelf in the shower.
2. The shower head wasn't working. At all! Luckily the hand shower was in order.
3. The hairdryer wasn't working.
4. The thermostat wasn't operational, and we were freezing.
5. The TV set had a distorted picture.
6. The elevator was out of order for a couple days.
7. The waiters were loudly talking to each other across the buffet restaurant.
What was good:
1. Quality of food was good, especially the steaks at the Japanese restaurant. The food at the buffet was also consistently good.
2. The evening entertainment was quite good.
3. The staff was friendly and courteous.
4. The room, the hallways and the grounds were always kept clean.
Suggestion:
The management should ensure that all systems in all the rooms are operational. The outdated equipment should be replaced.

This is the 3rd season I have returned to this resort. Plenty of food options. Room service was always available. Pool service by wait staff was excellent. Very friendly
