Very quiet, very peaceful. Delicious breakfast and right next to their beautiful lake. Highly recommended for your stay in Battambang.

We hebben hier twee dagen/nachten doorgebracht en mijn eerste herinnering die opkomt bij dit hotel is de vriendelijkheid van het personeel, die kende geen grenzen! De kamers zijn gewoon, beetje donker en ook wel wat oud en dat geldt zeker voor de badkamer. De balkons voor de kamers zijn prima en heerlijk om te vertoeven. Het restaurant is fantastisch, drankjes zijn heerlijk mede door het fantastische personeel! Overdag en 's avonds maakt voor dit hotel een groot verschil. Overdag valt op dat het een rommeltje is rond het zwembad, waar een oude boot een groot deel van de ruimte inneemt en waar er oude troep in de vijver ligt. Er mag daar zeker wel iets aan worden gedaan. In de avond lijkt dit hotel een gedaanteverwisseling te zijn ondergaan. De verlichting maakt het super gezellig, prachtig en sfeervol. Het is de bedoeling dit jaar wat achterstallig onderhoud te gaan uitvoeren en dan is dit een super hotel, wat helaas wel en beetje ver weg ligt bij het centrum.....

Intiem hotel met veel privacy. Ruime en schone kamers, het hotel heeft een zwemnbad en een uitstekend restaurant. Ontbijt was gevarieerd en gedurende de dag veel opties. Locatie is centraal gelegen om de stad te bezoeken alsmede voor dagtrips..

House staff and owners are super friendly and helpful. Service is outstanding. Strongly recommend eating at the hotel because their chef is excellent and plating is top notch. Rooms are spacious, clean. I got great sleeps. Pool is clear and clean with goid shading even at the peak of the say. Great location but sites in and around Battenbang are spread out so bike, tuk tuk or scooter are necessary for any location.

We’d come to Battambang from Siem Reap and stayed here 3 nights. We stayed in a lovely old Khmer house. Room upstairs. Wide dark polished floorboards, great atmosphere. Hard bed, no improvements after 2 toppers added! Pool area was unkempt. Mucky old cushions and battered chairs and loungers. Fallen foliage everywhere. Plenty of shade, not much sun. Went into town for dinner, about 10 minutes tuktuk ride. It’s a regional city and busy, population struggling to eke a living. Riverside nothing of note, the row of ‘old French houses’ looked almost late Victorian. Excellent breakfasts , the BEST COFFEE by miles. Fab ambience looking over the pond. Struggled with the two evening meals we had here, can’t rave about any of the tastes and flavours as it was all a trifle bland and ‘westernised’ probably to suit the clientele? I guess if you were to go to Battambang (can’t imagine why!) this place is an oasis compared to outside, but it is all relative and for a desperately poor country the hosts have done well to provide some civilisation at this location.

We stayed for 2 nights. The staff could not have been more friendly. The service was attentive and kind. The food was delicious, and interesting. The pool was delicious, but lacks shade when you’re in it. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The room L4 was spacious, with a nice bathroom. The AC struggled, but it was over 40C, and there was a very good ceiling fan, Highly recommended.

This was the hotel stay we enjoyed the most on our recent trip through Cambodia and into N Vietnam. MWK - for us - was a magical destination offering the best of proximity to town, but with a uniquely rural/jungle ambience. The room was fabulous, the massage was refreshingly unforgiving, the coffee was the best tasted on tour and the people were every bit as fabulous as all other aspects. The pool too was great, despite what an earlier poster had to say about the state of the loungers etc.. They worked well enough for us. To sit at breakfast watching over the beaufiful, natural water feature and not to be bitten to death by mosquitoes was a treat indeed. Thankyou to all the team for making our stay so memorable. We will certainly recommend MWK to any friend contemplating a trip to Battambang.
