Poor communication between staff resulted in rooms not being available when we arrived, staff openly blaming poor communication on collegues as the excuse, 45 min delay to get to one room then 2nd room not ready for a further 40 mins, resulted in 4 adults sharing one room to get ready for a wedding after a 4 hour car journey. this is unacceptable as there wasnt even enough towels for everyone to shower. once the rooms were finally ready Check in took over 25 mins as the staff were unable to work the computer system and were openly moaning and complaining to myself about how it doesnt work and how they cant use it! Room also smelt heavily of bleach. breakfast was awful, the breakfast area was extremally dirty, bread and pastries were stale and hard, when I complained to the server I was told that was because they had been left out overnight uncovered, the area where you help yourself was filthy and all of the surfaces were unclean, there was no juice in the dispenser's and despite asking 3 times for them to be refilled this didnt happen. When we returned to our rooms after breakfast at 9.30am my daughter wasnt able to access her room as the cleaners had entered and started to clean it even though we hadnt yet checked out and my daughter had her photographic equipment in the room at this time, this is completely unacceptable, when we raised this with reception the just said it was normal practice by the cleaners as sometimes people forget to check out so the cleaners will enter the rooms?!
