Booked a family room which was very spacious & accommodated 2.adults & 2 kids easily. This place has seen better days, however for what we wanted, a bed for the night, it was ideal & included cooked breakfast. Read other reviews and you know what to expect, an honest friendly host a bed and a hearty breakfast to start the day.

Even though it's a lovely house, and the gentleman was most welcoming. The breakfast was lovely.
But the house & room/bedroom needed a good clean.
I run a cleaning company & i nearly did it for them

Room extremely dirty, dusty and cobwebs. Shower cubicle had someone's footprints in and at one point the shower over flowed so had to be unblocked also upon running the bath taps debris began to spurt out too and so my children and I couldn't take a bath. The carpet in the bedroom was filthy had loads of stains on big and small. Host was pleasant enough but didn't offer much in the way of explanation or apologies. We don't expect to go to a hotel and sleep in a dirty, dusty room or not be able to have a shower or bath. I'm afraid I'd not stay there anymore.

Staff were excellent so welcoming. Room looked a bit tired and could have done with a Hoover. Also no soap at all in the room. Tea & coffee facilities provided and a nice breakfast provided at a time that suited us.
