We booked to stay at Anakena in the summer of 2021 as the festival we were attending in Barcelona got postponed to 2022. Anakena cancelled our stay less than one month before the festival with no explanation forcing us to look for accommodation with weeks to go to the festival. Accommodation prices have now skyrocketed and all the hotels we were looking at previously are nearly triple the cost. Such disappointing customer service - clearly looking to get better rates for the rooms. Operating with no integrity or creditability at all

I booked this hotel over 12 months ago (through ***********) as a pre-cruise stay and they have just cancelled. There is now very limited availability and what is available is very expensive. DON'T BOOK THIS B&B!

We had booked two rooms via *********** about a year before our stay. According to the reservation policy and the email sent to us upon making the reservation, the last date for payment was May 23rd. However, we received an email from *********** on May 5th with no prior warning stating that both reservations were canceled. We will be visiting Barcelona for the Primavera Festival, so this last-minute cancellation with absolutely no warning left us in a distressing situation. Stay away!

Take care this establishment has no respect at all for its clients ! We booked a room via booking but a few days before we arrived, as we were visiting the beautiful Spain, we received a cancellation from this place ! You have to know that it is almost impossible to book the same kind of location In Barcelona during the same period. Thanks Anakena ! Avoid this place if you want security !

Although we had booked over a year in advance, two weeks before we were meant to arrive they cancel the booking. No correspondence at all other than a message on the booking app. Don’t stay with them, terrible service, avoid the hassle when they cancel without reason.

I book this hotel 1 year ago as a pre cruise stay. Today 2 weeks before our Cruise i received a cancellation notice with no warning. Interestingly enough the Grand Prix is on and booking prices are now 4 times the money we paid. This hotel cancelled our booking to make more money, not only leaving us stressed but significantly out of pocket!! Unfortunately For you, I am in the travel Industry and do not forget despicable greedy companies and after Covid, this is NOT the way to behave!! ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!!!!!

Disgusting behaviour from a hotel we booked a year ago for a night before cruising around the Med. They Cancelled our booking and other bookings only 2 weeks before we were due to stay as the Grand Prix is on and greed got the better of them. Shame on you !
