The location of the hotel is very good. The corner is opposite the main commercial street in the center of Barcelona. The building facade and the public lobby on the ground floor are decorated in a modern atmosphere. Breakfast is very rich, this is the best I have had in the same grade abroad, and the waiter attitude is good, the front desk waiter attitude is also good. The room is considered to be a bit larger. The only room that is not perfect is a little stuffy, and the price is a bit high. Overall the location and breakfast were great.

Although the hotel is small in scale, it is a five-star hotel after all. The service is excellent, and the room and environment are also very good. When you go out of the hotel, go to the left hand side until you walk straight to three traffic lights and then turn left. There is a Chinese restaurant with good products. The fly in the ointment is that I booked a taxi to go out alone the next day, but I booked a 7-seater taxi for me, which is much more expensive. The hotel should book a taxi for customers according to the number of travelers.

When first booking our trip to Barcelona, it was a little overwhelming the amount of properties one could choose from. After a bit of review and consideration we decided on the Hotel Olivia Balmes. We were most interested in finding a hotel that was centrally located, emphasized comfort and cleanliness, & had in room central air conditioning (given our late summer travel). The hotel hit top marks in all. We also used the pool and ate breakfast which were both excellent. I would not hesitate to book a stay here. The front desk staff were also very kind and available 24 hours a day.

Breakfast at the hotel for 9 euros per person, the variety is really small, but the family eats here is also convenient! Our children are very tall. I booked two rooms, which are quite large. We also have triple rooms to book in advance! To be honest, I'm really satisfied, quiet, enough, and cost-effective though not luxurious enough! The bathroom is large and clean! The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the Sagrada Familia, there are six subway stops nearby to the Picasso Museum, a quiet and lively but safe place, a man at the front desk is great, English is very good and caring, and there is a picture of him on the elevator! Service Mali is in place! The room was not cleaned in time but came soon after contacting the front desk to clean up. I tipped them not to feel the sense of service! There is a parking lot, Barcelona is not very safe, there is a parking lot great! A ramen nearby tastes good

Calling it a swimming pool is a lie, feel ripped off. When you select a hotel with a swimming pool, the prices went up by £300-400 for our stay, so a hefty increase, but they didn't have one. It was 1 foot deep, that's not a pool, if you can't swim in it then it's a glorified puddle. Breakfast was vile, only edible part was the croissants, which seems pricey for £9 per day. Bed was relatively cosy, but on wheels and made so much noise any time either of us moved in the slightest. There was a buzzing sound that went off from the fan every 5 seconds, not too bad during the day, but when you're trying to sleep then it was a nightmare. The staff were friendly at reception, the bright spark that kept us from going elsewhere as we were really tempted. Wouldn't book again.

Me and my brother stayed there 4 nights, location Is pretty good, not very far from main attractions, but had to take subway/buses there. There are cafes and supermarkets around. The street is not noisy. I had to ask for a bigger room even though while booking I chose a room with two beds. There’s no main light inside, only lamps so it’s pretty dark in the day in there. Climate control system works but in an odd way, or freezing cold or too hot. Bathroom is big and spacious! But our towels were changed once or twice in 4 nights stay.

We stayed for 5 nights at Aporthotel Silver in August. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It is located in the quiet Gracia neighbourhood which was perfect for us.It is away from the touristy areas but close to shops, and restaurants. It is a 3 min walk to the Fontana Metro station. We bought a Tarjeta T-Casual metro pass which allows for 10 trips on the subway. The subway was very clean and so easy to use and we felt very safe even at 11 at night. The hotel is a gem. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and well kept. We loved the kitchenette. As soon as we arrived we went to the grocery story and bought food. We ate breakfast in the room every morning and made sandwiches for lunch to take with us. Some days we came back to the hotel and made eggs for lunch. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the rooms had black out electric shutters which were fantastic. We were very grateful to have air conditioning - it was needed. The shower was also very nice. The hotel was very quiet and we loved our stay here. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

Not good to say and very bad.. We went for a wedding and we stressed several times that we were put the ladder in the corridor, because at 14:00 there is no one in reception to claim the ladder, we went with the dressed shirt. The breakfast is all the industrial cooking, the milk if it is finished, they don't put it back, there are a few litres in a mini-fridge but they correspond to other customers. The morning girl had her son at one of the breakfast tables occupying the whole table and throwing behind other customers saying the dining room was full and they would come later. The bed of 1.35 for two people of very bad quality, the sofa did not correspond to that measure, the muds were swallowed in the body and the coats already... from another even worse level. Sweat in the bathroom, savon residues of the previous client, duche filled with powder and or******. And, in addition, last morning, we went to breakfast 20 minutes before the breakfast time ended, and the girl of the morning, who, by the way, has no concerns to make the maximum noise possible by cleaning and repairing products from Breakfast, tells us that there are 20 minutes to finish breakfast, we are aware until breakfast is served, but in other hotels at least you are quietly finished, But here the girl was looking all the time to see when we just had breakfast, and wondering every minute if we were going to drink something more, making us feel very disturbed, a little education would not be bad for her. In short, for the money that costs, it doesn't deserve the value for nothing. I would never return!!

The location is very convenient in Gracia as the metro is just in front of the hotel and there are lift should you drag heavy luggage from taking aeroport buses from Plaza Cantaluya. The location is very safe and there are a lot of restaurants & shops opposite the hotel where you walk 3 blocks along the right path next to church. When one of our luggages were delayed by the Vuelig airline, the hotel staffs were very empathic to charge our handphone and help us to speak in Spanish to the customer service staff to trace the luggage. The breakfast is excellent with lot of fruit, meat and tea selection. The bed is comfortable with clean sheets and it is quite peaceful to sleep. We prefer this location which is more of a residential area rather than being in Plaza Catalunya where there are lot of pickpockets. We have no trouble walking around Gracia area and we enjoyed exploring a lot of tapa and pizza bars which were cheap eats with local charm. We highly recommend this place to anyone who wish to stay at a good hotel with lovely hotel staffs and breakfast.

This was far and away the most wonderful hostel we stayed in during our backpacking trip. The staff is absolutely amazing and willing to accommodate you every step of the way. It has a nice small feel that allows you to make real connections with the other guests. They offer home cooked dinners every night for a small price that are a great way to meet people and the rooms are very clean. This is how you run a hostel and I can confidently say Sant Jordi is a major reason our time in Barcelona was so enjoyable!

I had already stayed in that hotel in April 2013 and altogether it was a rather good stay. The bedroom I was allocated on that occasion was comfortable and peaceful so that scarcely any noise was audible. The rest of the conditions regarding that stay were also good. I decided therefore to book again in that hotel for three weeks during which I had to be in Barcelona, namely from July 16th 2020 to August 6th, except the 21st since that day at night I had to be somewhere else for personal reasons. My stay this time was quite the opposite to that referred to. As a matter of fact, it turned out to be a nightmare thus causing me to decide to leave the hotel on July 21st and book in another one for the rest of my stay in Barcelona. Upon check-in I was allocated the bedroom 405. I was cold in that room albeit it was summer time and the temperature outside was higher than 30º C. After switching off the air conditioning machine there was still a draft of cold air which was very annoying and harmful. I complained about that what made them let me change the room, allocating me that number S02. That new room was all right as to the air conditioning and, besides, the first night it was peaceful so that I could sleep with no trouble whatsoever. Notwithstanding that, on the following day one of the rooms next door was allocated to some people who behaved like beasts. They used to come back to the hotel at midnight or later screaming as if they were possessed by the devil and once in the room they continued shouting and moreover they bumped on the walls in a foolish way. When I went to complain at the front desk the following morning the receptionist in charge of the relevant service at that moment, whose name is Alexandra, just behaved in a nasty and despicable way. She hardly listened to me and interrupted me constantly. It was altogether very unpleasant. Another trouble I had to endure was in relation to the safe in the bedroom. On July 18th it ran out of battery. There wasn't anybody at the hotel who could change the exhausted battery by a new one. I had to wait for two days for a technician to come and proceed to the relevant replacement. The fact that nobody at the hotel knows how to change the safe batteries is utterly unbelievable and ridiculous. Meanwhile I had to walk around Barcelona with all the money and other valuables in my pockets thus running the risk of being robbed, the more so if the fact that Barcelona has become a dangerous city is taken into consideration. The receptionists advised me to leave the money in the safe anyway since, as they said, nobody would enter it if I left the relevant sign on the door latch for the room not to be cleaned up. I left the sign in the stated way but I didn't dare leave my money and valuables in the room with the safe little door ajar as it couldn't be locked down. It wouldn't have been the first time that a burglary takes place at a hotel. As a consequence of the mishap referred to by the way the bedroom

The location was satisfactory, but it did not meet the expectations of a 4 star hotel. We had to ask the check-in counter to get some essential amenities as well as slippers, and there was no coffee pot in the room. The towel rack in the bathroom also had a lot of areas that needed cleaning. The water coming out of the bathroom shower didn't dry until the next day's room cleaning, which caused inconvenience in using the bathroom in the morning. The 24 hour supermarket right in front of the hotel was too old and inconvenient to use. (Well, it's not the hotel's fault.) If you really want a hotel with a kitchen, we recommend it. If not, consider another hotel. What is certain is that these days, the standard for a 'four-star' hotel has changed, or this hotel is not a four-star, one or the other is certain.
