Heel mooi hotel, met name de tuin. Veel personeel aanwezig, heel servicegericht. Beetje te enthousiast voor mijn doen (als alleenstaande reiziger) qua het afwijzen van dates, maar veel complimenten dus. Het eten was heerlijk, voor vegetarische eters ook volop keuze. Mooi uitzicht, met veel groen, op de zee. S’nachts kon ik de rustgevende golven horen vanuit mijn 2 bedden, met ramen open dankzij horren. Excursie gedaan met TUI; koken en eten bij een gezin thuis. Mooie ervaring om in de lokale sfeer te komen. Buiten het hotel kun je beter niet alleen lopen, mede om deze reden biedt veel personeel aan om tours te geven. Helaas niet toegekomen om bijvoorbeeld naar een optreden van een kora-speler te gaan, of zelfs om een potje te poolen of tafeltennissen met het animatieteam. Wel was er iedere avond, naast goede bier, een show. Veel talent, mijn complimenten. Overigens ook een tv met voetbal, voor de mannen. Verder heb ik opgetrokken met een jongedame van een van de avondoptredens, en met de andere toeristen. Omdat ik overal alleen was, wat ik zo dus nergens was. Aan de rust niet echt toegekomen, wel de cultuur meer meegekregen. Had achteraf gezien beter langer dan een week willen boeken, voor zo’n verre reis. Aan alle personeel, bedankt voor de gezelligheid en goede gesprekken. Was er trouwens begin dit jaar, maar middenin verhuizing en gedoe. Lieve groetjes uit Nederland, stay safe. Oh, de gember-nootjes van de winkel in het hotel (naast de gedroogde hibiscus voor thee) zijn lekker als souveniertjes.

Rustig en relaxed hotel. Met vriendelijk personeel zowel in tuin, restaurant en aan het mooie zwembad. Prachtig onderhouden tuin. Restaurant met heel wat keuze en vriendelijke bediening. Uitstekend en mooi onderhouden zwembad en ligplaatsen. Leuke vriendelijke poolboys. Een aanrader voor wie een rustige vakantie wil.

Leuk Hotel. Mooie kamer. Vriendelijk personeel. Top ligging 😎🏝🇬🇲. Eten was goed maar niet super. 3de maal in Gambia. Hotel was voor Gambiaanse normen zeer geslaagd. Vooral de ligging strand in Kotu is meer levendig (bars,Markets,Restaurants,…) dan in Bakau waar ik mijn vorige vakanties verbleef. Zeer geslaagde vakantie 🏝🇬🇲🫶🏻😎❤️

Wij zijn hier 2 x geweest. Dat zegt toch genoeg? Een heerlijk kleinschalig hotel, met lekker eten, een heerlijk zwembad. Super vriendelijk personeel. Aan het strand. Excursies zijn te boeken buiten de poort. Je kan er ook fietsen huren of een taxi nemen. Iedereen is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Geen reden om niet te gaan!

Loved the location of this hotel right on the beach and listening to the sea from our room. All the staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Enjoyed trying the Gambian food served in the restaurant. Bar staff were amazing and took time to have a chat as did the entertainment staff. Yes the rooms are basic but still clean so nothing to complain about. Would love to come back and spend time chilling out in the sunshine. This hotel is all about relaxation.

I enjoyed my stay at the Sunbeach hotel, I am already planning to go back. The receptionist, the bar and kichen staff were warmly welcoming and they always have a smile whilst catering to our wants, needs and demands. I would advice any potential visitor to Gambia to give them your stay oh did I forget to say the food was yum yum tasty indeed.

The staff are the best ever, willing to cater to your every need. They are friendly, supportive and are always smiling, even when they are faced with difficult challenges. They are the best. From the Reception Desk (Mousa), to the Porters, the Chefs (Chef Lamin and the rest of the team) in the kitchen, Bar staff (Rashida & Arouna), Housekeepers (Mohammed) - they are second to none and always go above and beyond. I became unwell halfway through my stay at the hotel and they catered to my every wish. Making me special meals to help me on my recovery - I cannot thank them enough.

Fantastic friendly hotel that is on the smaller side, ideal for a nice relaxing holiday. Beautiful beach, accommodation is simple but lovely. Food is amazing, staff really take the time to get to know you. Nice pool area with plenty of sunbeds

FIRST OF ALL...take a continental travel adapter....the sockets are not all UK type. Otherwise, this place is GREAT for R&R. The standard rooms are VERY basic but very clean, have an abundance of hot water and the beds were comfortable. The staff are AMAZING 👏 Top man Lamin the Chef cooks fantastic dishes, catering for both the adventurous and less so) Wait staff Aruna, Lamin, Mariama and Cristina are fab (so was everyone else but names not noted) Owa and Abi in the spa were just lovely as was the Egyptian manager. Milton and Richard (entertainment) were very helpful (again the young lady was too but I didn't get her name) John The Baptist and Yankz (?) the pool guys were very helpful (no shortage of sunbeds) and even the security team deserves a mention. Ricki on customer liaison sorted the one problem we ladies had, quickly and efficiently. Momadou, the housekeeper and colleagues and the gardeners do a top job. Pieter the TUI rep was so helpful when we had to re arrange an excursion. The hotel is set on the beach, within a short walk to the creek where we took a boat ride to watch the amazing birds. Just loved it here and hope to return soon. Top Job, Sunset Beach Hotel.
