S31 Sukhumvit Hotel

The hotel is relatively old, the air conditioner in the room is too loud, and the temperature is not stable. There is no towel in the ground floor toilet. Because a lamp is damaged in the toilet on the second floor, an engineering lamp is placed in the toilet. This is the first time I have seen it. After cleaning the room, there is no toothbrush and comb. The shower head cannot be moved. But the attitude of the concierge staff is very good, they will say hello every time they meet, and they are very friendly. The breakfast is good, both Thai and Western. But the overall performance was disappointing, and there should be no next time.

1st we drove our car to carpark, was very small and lower lever very few parking n all fully parked. After we park our car took a lift to ground floor, counter near the entrance for checking, but waited about 10 mins, nobody at the counter. After we went back to the lift, from the lift button we found out the lobby actully at 8 floor. When we reach 8th floor, 3 staffs was sitting at the counters. me, my husband n my 12yr old son standing there with our luggages, but no one look at you or greet you. Until a lady siting in the middle free, then she said "check in?" During the checking, all the way the unfriendly tone n took credit card for deposit the usual stuff. She took a green water bottle on the counter and said, this is the only "free water" in the room, the rest everything have to pay. After that we carry our own luggages to the room, my son said this is the most rude counter staffs he seen in his life, actully mine too 😅 My husband is a Thai, he still cannot accept his Thai ppl gave this kind of service, so he keep saying she is from South Asia 😣😅 She even forgot to tell us where is the breakfast place, we call the next morning to find out. Other then these few, the staffs at breakfast place, staffs that tidy our room till we checked out all staffs are nice and polite. Breakfast was good. You need to pay 150 bht for a movie, no movie channel. The toilet is glass can see through from inside the room, the blind is outside the bath room, so in the middle of shower, ppl inside bedroom can open the blind and you can't control from your side, funny design. Location is convenient, planty of restuarents around.

the stuff was poor managing. Check in - Check out have to wait around 30 + mins. even check out which doesn’t have any complicated process. And there are no gap between Test and Go check in and normal customer check in. in Covid19 period

1st room - aircon broke down and had to change to another room on the first night. 2nd room - changed to a slight smaller room compared to the 1st one with narrower walkway from one side of the bed to another sode. Hot water was not working for shower. Both rooms come with kitchenette and bar top. Location - in the city centre surrounded with shopping malls and eateries. However, both sides of the roads were congested badly from morning till night.

Luxury hotel at the very cheap price. The location is the best, just across the street from Emsphere shopping mall. The breakfast is good. Room cleaning is good.

location is great. Swimming pool and fitness are good. The sauna room seems broken. The main downside is the old air con in the room. It produce occasionally loud sound that can wake you up at night. Luckily it did wake my child at nights.

The hotel location is one of its greatest points. Easy, central and with everything you need within 10 min or less of walking distance. To be honest I was expecting a bit more as the information in the website can be a little bit deceiving. The room looks far smaller for instance and the toilet is really really tiny and tight. So small that even the lavatory is outside in the room (no big issues there). On the other end is has a large full sized fridge with freezer which is a great plus but, again, strangely, it is equipped with plates, bowls, even a microwave oven but there are no cutlery?! Not even chopsticks. The coffee machine is also a nice plus and as a coffee lover I made very good use of it. The air conditioner makes a lot of noise at night so you either need to bare the heat or get used to the loud sound from the fan. The pool is also a bit disappointing but luckily it was empty so it was not an issue. I can imagine that can be very dissatisfying if more than 5/6 people in the pool area. Overall it was a pleasant stay but honestly I was expecting more.
