Decent for Location, but Lacks Comfort and Convenience
I stayed at Tim Palace Hotel near BTS Phra Khanong for 3 days and 2 nights, and while it had a few positives, my experience was largely underwhelming.
One of the highlights is the hotel’s proximity to BTS Phra Khanong, just about 450 meters away, making it convenient for traveling around Bangkok. The reception staff were friendly and available at all hours, which was a relief as I checked in at 1 AM due to a flight delay. The room itself was spacious, offering some comfort during my stay.
However, the drawbacks overshadowed these positives. The bathroom design was a major issue—the toilet bowl was placed extremely close to the wall, leaving little to no space, which made it uncomfortable to use. The view from my room was of a nearby building wall, which wasn’t pleasant. The deposit requirement was 300 baht, which felt unnecessary given the overall experience.
The surrounding area also lacked excitement—there’s not much to do nearby except for a sauna, and there are no halal dining options in the vicinity. Even basic conveniences like a 7-Eleven are located about 400 meters away, requiring you to cross a busy road to get there.
Overall, I’d rate this hotel a 2/5. It’s fine if you’re looking for a place close to BTS Phra Khanong or the nearby sauna, but don’t expect much in terms of comfort, amenities, or surrounding attractions.
