Alam Terrace Cottages

The mattress was very dirty and no mattress protector was on the bed. There were many ants in the room. Hot water took a long time to come on. The accommodation has many stairs which could be challenging if you are older. There was a musty smell in the bathroom. When asked to change rooms staff were unwilling to accommodate. We then asked to have a refund as we had little sleep due to the thinness of the walls nd being able to hear other customers in the rooms nearby. Staff then tried to rip us off with taxi prices when we were departing and we were told to find a taxi on the street. Pay a little extra and stay at a nicer place.

Location is great, right in the centre of Ubud with lots in walking distance. The rooms are basic but you get what you pay for, no safe in the room and no water. The bathroom was a bit prison cell like. However the hotel was very clean, the pool was nice and the staff great. Would definitely return again when in Ubud.

Staff are really friendly. Rooms are really big, too big in a way as all of the furniture is dark and the lights don’t really light up the room properly so it makes the whole room feel quite dark! Door was a bit of a pain to close as it requires a knack to lock. You almost have to lift the door into place. Even the staff struggled. Bed was very comfy but very creaky. If you moved it was very loud. Not suitable for people with mobility issues as there are a lot of steep steps to get in and out of the property. Pool and pool area are really nice and clean. Note that if you get a taxi dropping you off with your luggage, you’ll have to walk down a long path downhill to get to reception as it’s set quite far back from the road (It also isn’t lit at night) The car won’t be able to get down there. There’s room for a few scooters to park at reception though if that’s how you get about. I feel as though the rooms could benefit from a good spruce up. There’s dark patches on the wall, cobwebs, different coloured paint on the walls where things have been patched up in the past etc. The room just feels really dark and outdated. The bathroom was the odd one for us. It’s a wet room (which we’ve had in almost every place we’ve stayed in Bali) however the shower was positioned almost directly above the toilet so everything gets soaked. I’d suggest removing the toilet paper out of the holder and room whilst you shower. It’s also dark tiles and there’s 2 small windows that don’t necessarily let in a lot of light. Towel rail was not far off from falling off the wall. Shower pressure was awful as if the shower head was half blocked and it took a while to get to a reasonable temperature. All of this being said, and putting aside the fact that it’s a bit out-dated, it was still a pleasant couple of nights. I wouldn’t not stay here again if I had to but it wouldn’t be my first choice. It just needs a bit of TLC. Location is within walking distance to the main streets/restaurants/cafes/bars.

4 nuits dans cet hôtel au très bon rapport qualité prix…. Les photos montrent bien la réalité !!! Chambres propres et spacieuses, petit déjeuners très correctes et sourire permanent des employés ! Change d argent à 10m de l entrée de l hôtel, petite rue commerçante avec restos et massage balinais low cost mais excellent tous les 5 m…..attention au de ne pas se faire écrasé mais comme partout a Ubud !

L’accès à l’hôtel n’est pas si simple au bout d’une toute petite rue . Il y’a pas mal d’escaliers pour aller aux chambres et à la piscine mais le personnel nous a bien aidés pour les valises. Martini à la réception a été très a l’écoute et arrangeante. Néanmoins il a l’avantage d’être au calme . L’activité dans Ubud étant « crazy » . Il est facile de se rendre dans le centre 15 mn de la Monkey Forest , 10 mn du Palace et du marché. Les chambres sont spacieuses et agréable. Nous avions une chambre avec vue piscine . 2 petites bouteilles d’eau fournies.

Hotel molto carino, personale gentile e sempre sorridente. Colazione non abbondante ma molto buona, con prodotti freschi e locali. La vista è spettacolare, le camere danno tutte sulla giungla e sulla piscina e sono dotate di ogni comfort.

Essendo rimasto a Ubud per soli tre giorni, il resort è ottimo per una vacanza breve o lunga ad Ubud. La piscina e il resort stesso sono molto puliti; il personale, oltre ad essere cordiale e gentile, si occupa della pulizia in modo quasi ******ale; complimenti! La colazione è molto buona e varia, anche se non ci si deve aspettare il tipico buffet; si deve ordinare il giorno prima, ma in fondo anche questo ci può stare.
