The hotel deserves 2 stars.
There was a persistent unpleasant smell in the corridors on all floors as well as inside the room. We were accommodated in the second building, which is located across the street from the main one.
During the stay we used the hotel wellness area. The area is extremely small and is lacking basic convenience like a change room - for guests, who stay in the second building there is no possibility to change clothes (we were asked to leave clothes on the sunbeds next to the pool) and no fan (this is very important, especially in winter after the sauna, the body is hot, but it was cold outside and one has to go down the street to your room with no bathrobe provided by hotel). The swimming pool and the Jacuzzi were both dirty and unpleasant smell could be felt in all parts of the wellness area.
In addition, the refrigerator in the room did not work and is not being connected to electricity by default with the explanation "due to energy saving"
I do not recommend this hotel.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.
L'espace détente avec la piscine et le sauna est un réel plus.
Le petit déjeuner est excellent avec beaucoup de choix.
Je recommande.

Een goed hotel voor een enkele overnachting onderweg naar Italië.
Het hotel is netjes, verzorgd, ligging is goed maar je moet van de inrichting houden. Het is een gedateerde inrichting maar dat hoort ook bij het hotel. De kamers zelf zijn zeker zeer netjes, schoon en de badkamer is modern.
De eerste en t****e verdieping zijn bereikbaar per lift en de derde verdieping is via de t****e te bereiken met een trap. Voor een enkele nacht prima, maar ik zie mijzelf er niet langere tijd verblijven.
Het zwembad iets teveel chloor, maar wel netjes verder.
Enige nadeel: vliegverkeer in de vroege ochtend naar de luchthaven Basel. Daar kan je van wakker worden als je raam open staat ;)

Overall the hotel was easy to find, set in a quaint little town, beautifully presented from the outside. Our room was great, clean and tidy and worked for us as a family. The swimming pool and spa was excellent and easy to access.
Would should have pre booked dinner before arrival, the restaurant in the hotel was lovely, food excellent but we couldn’t get a table until really late in the evening, which was not ideal with two children. We’d been driving all day so did not want venture back out and no other immediate choices for food. When we did get dinner we thoroughly enjoy it however, once we got seated.
There was a bar facility out the hotel building, next door, we bought one drink at 6pm and with all of the outside seating taken with customers, they closed up and that was it, no more bar….this left us with a long wait between then and dinner. Plenty of parking and very helpful front desk staff. We had a good stay.
