Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Bakersfield, CA

My key card didn’t work so I went back to the front desk and they reactivated my key. I opened the door. There was a man staring at me. There was a homeless person in my room. The receptionist didn’t apologize or didn’t even bother to check the room. What else can I say? Just take this hotel off from your listing.

Very helpful staff, nice rooms, good food in the morning. The only draw back is the place smells like smoke. It's something that is very hard to cover up. Otherwise a great place to stay.

I liked it. Took my family to stay there 1 room 2 queen beds. Jetted tub. We had the free breakfast at 7am. Good area.

This was a little gem. Nice clean rooms, wonderful staff and very good complimentary breakfast. Highly recommend this place.

I had to stop midway through a long drive and would have kept on driving if I'd seen this place before stayng there. In a no-so-good part of Bakersfield, this property had a fenced parking along the building. Though security was present, there was more than on car with people just sitting in them. I was worried all night about the car. The back entry door didn't have a handle, just a knob to pull it open The hallways were better, but nothing of note. The room had a note... one of slight urine or musk. It was a large room and the smell faded as you turned the corner to the bed area. The ac/heat was older and the bathroom was possibly older. The one amazing part was the comfort of the bed. I'm guessing new mattresses, as they it was very childishly comfortable.

Our TV didn’t work. We called the front desk who said they would call us back. Never did. Our room had windows facing the back and at 5:21 am, two plus roosters started doing what they do. It didn’t stop.

Everything was good except the shower area. Shower was difficult in avoiding water from hitting tile area since shower glass wasn’t enclosed.

Property appeared recently renovated, but the renovation was not done in a quality manner and the property has not been well maintained since the renovation.

Check in was quick. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and we loved the jetted tub! Pillows can use an upgrade, bed was ok. All in all a great experience.
