The luxury apartments my family stayed in on a recent visit were both above and beyond any 5* accommodation I have seen. Beautifully decorated with immaculate kitchen and bathroom facilities throughout and a top notch breakfast to boot, I cannot recommend The County highly enough.

This place is lovely me and my family really enjoyed it they have amazing food and atmosphere and it is set in a lovely area in aycliffe. Gorgeous little place really really recommended for a family outing.

Stayed here for a couple of days ,for our trip to sedgefield races, the place is absolutely lovely, the room was cozy and the staff were so friendly and attentive, we had breakfast on the Friday, and got talking to a lovely lady Sam brown, the breakfast was amazing,all freshly cooked ingredients, the village is spotlessly clean, just like the hotel, we can't wait to go back, we loved it there.

The room was newly refurbished and in a building adjoining the hotel. It was really spacious and comfortable . The staff - Alex in particular who checked us in - was very welcoming and friendly. A real asset to the hotel. The menu was varied and the food was well cooked. In the morning I didn’t feel well so my husband went down for breakfast and the staff made me something for him to bring back to the room. It’s only 30 minutes from Newcastle. We’d definitely recommend it and stay there again. The staff couldn’t have been more pleasant or accommodating.

Stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast on our way home from a trip to Newcastle. Found the place very welcoming - great food and excellent service/hospitality from the bar team throughout the evening. Comfy and stylish accommodation too.

Absolutely superb! What a find. Staff were beyond welcoming. The restaurant had great ambience and the food was outstanding. The breakfast was hot, beautifully presented and the waitress and service was great

Just went for Sunday lunch. Menu bland and nothing really tempting. Nice décor and lovely staff but felt quite bored. Everywhere is trying to keep costs down so food reflects this and is sad to see. Lovely setting looking over the village green, shame about the food.

C. omfortable O. outstanding U. nique N. eed to visit ok T. asty Y. your's to discover Looking for a good stay? Well the County is the place to be. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Exceptionally good country pub food, served with love and care and an excellent service. Breakfast is hard to beat in the North East. Enjoy a beer from a good selection drinks with a view over the village green. Parking is not an issue. Special thank's go to Micheal, the boss. Steve and the kitchen crew. Liz, Ellie from housekeeping. Sam, Alex, Claire, James, all other team members, not to forget, the Countys got talent Ruby. Thank's once again see you next year. Steve, Tina. PS. This is not fake.

Wow! Reluctant to leave a review as we want to keep this little gem to ourselves but, credit where credit due. Everything from start to finish was exceptional. A lovely little gem hidden in Newton Aycliffe. Spotless clean, all staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Food in the restaurant and breakfast delicious. Ample parking.Highly recommended...We will return! Thank you.
