This was my first time staying at Tommie Austin. I didn't realize that it is actually two different Hyatt hotels in one – the Thompson Austin and the Tommie Austin. Thompson has larger more spacious rooms where as the Tommie has smaller rooms better suited for one night stays like my trip. All of the staff was exceptionally delightful and welcoming. I was given a complimentary bottle of water and my resort fees were waived for being a Hyatt points member, which was nice. The main lobby was absolutely gorgeous. The bell hop that helped me get my luggage to my room was also cheerful and lovely. The room itself was quite a bit smaller than I had envisioned from the pictures on *******. That said, it had a very New York / upscale European vibe to it. Very cleverly laid out where every inch had a function to maximize the very small space. The bed was exceedingly comfy and, again, the bottled water was all complimentary, which is always nice. My one issue with the room was the lack of space to really put my luggage and there was no little refrigerator to keep cold beverages or food. That aside, very pretty and perfect for my overnight stay. The only other minor issue I had was the cost of parking. $59 to park overnight. That I was not expecting at all. I suppose I just have forgotten how expensive things are these days, especially in Downtown Austin. Overall I would definitely recommend Tommie Austin. And will most definitely stay there again!

We had a good two night stay - the hotel smells amazing when you walk in. The only negatives I would say is each time we came/ left the valet team kept asking us if we were “checking in?”not even a hello good afternoon, yet we had just seen them a few hours ago! It would be nice to be recognized and I kept having to remind them on when we were checking out and that we had already checked in we had just gone to see the city for a few hours. The restrooms are also very weird designed.

The staff was very friendly and the property is very nice. My only note is that there should be towel racks in the bathroom. I’m glad I wasn’t staying by myself or I would have had to put it on the toilet and track water across the room. Overall, we would stay there again.

Staff was lovely but the hotel adds many extras to the bill. With parking fee (HIGH!) and resort fee (also high), I paid much more than it was worth TBH. The room was small and the bathroom with the shower and toilet together didn't quite work. Water from shower kept trickling into the main room and the glass wall did not make for much privacy. Also, the heating/ac unit was so loud.

We had a great stay here. The hotel is in an excellent location, it was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. We would stay here again and would recommend.

First pulled up to front of hotel to checkin, valet guys were loudly yelling at each other and the 3 of them had cars doubled parked in the street. for the $58.00 a night guessing they should have been a little more professional as the first impression for the property.

The room was really small and the combo with shower and bathroom wasn’t the best set-up.

Highly recommend this hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the hotel was beautiful but what we were most impressed with were the free tours that we were able to do just because we were guests of the hotel and the concierge booked them all for us including a live music crawl and a breakfast taco tour (each an $85/per person value). There were also options for various museums and one other tour. The pool/rooftop area was as beautiful. I just can’t say enough about the hotel.
