Hotel Club Saraceno - Bovis Hotels

We were very impressed with all aspects of the resort - it was exactly what we'd hoped. The staff, the room, the beach, the included water sports were excellent. We would like to express our special gratitude to the windsurfing coach Omar - his lessons were invaluable, his professional but friendly attitude and teaching style helped us progress above and beyond expectations. We are planning to come back next summer and hope that Omar will be teaching there again.

We had a fantastic stay. Especially the service was courteous. Everything was clean and comfortable. We would come back at anytime.

Our largely elderly group were travelling on as many of Sardinia's railways as possible, so the train schedules to Nuoro meant our hired road coach was unable to arrive at the resort until 2030 hours mid evening. The taller, younger girl at reception claimed she did not know where each room was. Nor did she have paper maps to distribute. Clueless! The result was a lengthy wait for a buggy, whose driver was far more helpful. My room 4 and the tour leader's room 8 were just behind reception! The resort is isolated. On arrival we had to walk down a fairly steep hill for about 300 metres with our suitcases as reception lacked room for a coach to reverse. There are no nearby restaurants apart from the hotel's overpriced one, yet the bar offers an extremely limited menu. The ham and cheese ciabattas were nice but one soon tires of the same item. The main swimming pool was excellent, although the water was cold, but the beach had rather rough sand, way below the standard of pure white sand beaches in Philippines to which I am used. Waiters at the pool bar were pleasant. My room bed was comfortable with bedside tables. The curtains blocked most light. Locking the room from outside employed a convoluted system. The shower included a rainhead and like the WiFi, never failed. The wardrobe had a safety deposit box and generously sized minibar. Tgere was a long, backless upholstered seat. Shampoo, soap and so called intimate body wash were all in large bottles. Towels were good. The breakfast was excellent with a huge selection, manned by staff whose level of English fluency greatly varied. If countries like Philippines, especially, and Thailand can do this correctly, why can't Italian hotels? Like it or not, English is the global standard. There is a well maintained tennis court and a soccer pitch, plus a billiard fable.

What a wonderful resort with such a convenient location close to Baunei, Gulf of Orosei. Impresssive amenities and room had AC! We went for half board, which had us set up nicely with dinner buffet and buffet breakfast (included already). Loved the room, the grounds, the amenities, the beach, the infinity pool, the buffet, and the restaurants on the property! We enjoyed tennis everyday (free) and free sailing lessons, which was such a fun experience! Beach and salt water infinity pool were both really nice! There were also other amenities such as fresh water swimming pool, gym, etc. but we ran out of time to enjoy all resort features! Staff was incredibly attentive and very helpful. Stunning resort overall and highly recommend stay for anyone who’s considering this as an option in Sardinia! The resort is 2 hours drive from Cagliari airport or about 2.5 hours from Olbia. However, the drive itself was so beautiful, it was well worth the trip. Walking distance to Arbatax port and 20 min drive from Santa Maria Navaresse port. Highly recommend Sardinia Natural Park Tours, especially Baunei coast tour (Cala Mariolu, Cala Luna, Cala Sisine etc.) P.S. No complaints whatsoever. Must visit and highly recommend stay at resort.

A lovely facility with very excellent and caring staff ( especially Massimo). The beach and pool areas were perfect. The fact that it was such a large facility really came in handy as they had a doctor who was on call every day and that was invaluable to us! Thank God we were in Italy and not the US as we were so well taken care of in our time of need with zero expense. I would highly recommend Hotel Club Saraceno to couples or families. we have spent two good weeks at Saraceno Club, enjoying the peaceful environment and the activities. During the stay in particular had the chance to have a very good experience with Omar and the windsurf school at the beach facilities, it has been a good and patient teacher for a beginner like me. We have already booked our stay for next year.

We went to Hotel Club Saraceno in August 2023. Overall it’s a nice hotel with a lovely private beach and friendly staff. However, we were on a couple’s vacation but when booking we somehow missed that it’s is a family hotel so the vibe was different from what we were looking for. While we enjoyed the food, it would have been even better if there was a restaurant as well as the buffet option for dinner.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Hotel Club Saraceno, with our 7 year old daughter. Highlights: - spatious and newly renovated family room with separate room for children and always nice to return to after a day on the beach - excellent gluten-free dining for our celiac daughter - professional and helpful staff - nothing was a problem and really made the stay enjoyable - excellent food at the daily breakfast, dinner and lunch restaurant - great choice of swimming opportunities in the salt water pool, fresh water pool or sea! - some very nice trips nearby but including a trip to an olive oil producer and boat cruise along the the coast north of Arbatax, which is stunning!! Minor things to consiser - the beach at the hotel has small pebbles, so if you must have fine sand and perfectly clear water then better to take some trips to nearby beaches (15 min by car) - we paid for a front row chair, but in the end we didn’t use it so much because we were either visiting other beaches or at the pool. You may also consider it not necessary.
