Super fijn verblijf bij een heel erg vriendelijk gezin. We werden heel leuk ontvangen door hun 5 jarige zoontje en dat maakte het verblijf ook heel gezellig. Voelde echt als thuiskomen! Heel erg bedankt!

Shehan, his wife and young son make Saubagya Inn an excellent choice for a stay at Anuradhapura. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the bathroom good and the a/c worked well in the hot weather when I stayed. The Guesthouse was about around 40 years ago and with a large, covered veranda makes for very relaxing ‘down time’. Shehan speaks good English and is trained and trains in hospitality. Shehan also gave me some excellent advice on how best to tackle the large, formidable Ancient City (two long half days worked well – tip do some research before you arrive) which is located 3kms away. A nearby casual restaurant made for good dinner options, with the many of the dishes freshly cooked on order and run by friendly people. Shehan also linked me to Chelsea, a friendly, knowledgeable and reliable driver who provided very good service. My stay at Saubagya Inn lifted my experience of the Ancient City, and Anuradhapura to a high level. Shehan also runs a second property, with a larger number of rooms and nearer the Ancient City (Experience HUT Holiday Inn) but I especially enjoyed Saubagya Inn.

I had a fantastic stay at Saubagya Inn. The owners are incredibly friendly - they recommended what to see in Anuradhapura and offered me a bicycle to see the sites. Clean and large rooms, and a good breakfast. Great value for money, would recommend

This rest house is a gem among the many rest houses in the city of Anuradhapura. Shehan and his family as the owner of this property was so welcoming from the moment we stepped into the property. Attentive to our needs and was always available to support us in arranging meals. The rooms were clean and tidy. And for the rates offered this place was such a great spot and beyond our expectations. Hot water and A/C available. Certainly a place you can stay the night if you are visiting the Shri Maha Bodiya and Ruwanwelisaya..

Dear All, On behalf my family who were stayed at Saubagya Inn on 26th August 2023 , I would like to express my sincerer Gratitude to Mr. Shehan [ Manager] , his Sincerer Wife , loving son Mayon & Hotel staff for their Professional Hospitality extended to us with mouthwatering Food & Sincerer Service. Place is lovely . Rooms are super comfortable, Price is reasonable and the Shehan & family did the best to make us feel at home. Excellent breakfast. Interior is good but need to improve the front garden immediately to give more attraction to this lovely Inn. l Best Regards...!!! I enjoyed every aspect of my stay at Saubagya Inn. My room was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful decor. There’s good water pressure with hot water. My hosts were welcoming and made me feel like a member of the household. Mayon is the cutest little boy!! Wi-Fi was fast. I had my favorite meal during my whole trip here—beef rendang served with breadfruit curry, raita, and papadam. Nice outdoor roof covered seating to relax after a day of exploring. Property also offers bike rentals.

Everything you could ever hope for in a place—from the peaceful yet central location, to the cleanliness of the room, to the incredibly kind family, perfect tips for exploring the nearby attractions and, most of all, THE FOOD! I ended up taking every breakfast & dinner here due to it being some of the best I've had in Sri Lanka. A shining example of why we choose Airbnb over hotels. 10/10
