I highly recommend Casa Bixa. Such a beautiful, serene, well maintained property with excellent and attentive staff. I have such fond memories of our stay there. Excellent breakfast as well. The staff also arranged for a driver to take us to the suspension bridge west of the town in the evening. Thank you Casa Bixa!

We stayed only one night in this lovely area. It was a welcome respite from the business of Medellin. The area was the original capital of Antioquia.
It maintains some of the old streets and has many wonderful colonial buildings.
It was a great break for me and I stayed a long time in their small but very pleasant swimming pool.

We (my wife and I) absolutely loved this place for a quick trip outside of Medellín for the weekend.
The hotel is quaint, quiet, and extremely nice. Everything was perfect. The staff were as attentive and helpful as they come, the pool was so refreshing, and the room was clean, modern, and cool with the air conditioning.
We will be back, for sure!

The room and property were clean. The staff was superb. I did not have the issue of lack of hat water on the second floor as was reported by a couple of others. The tiki bar at the pool is open late, however they appeared to be shorthanded, and we had to go up front to order our drinks, it was no big deal to us. The had nice music around the pool day/night played at a very reasonable volume where you could still talk. The rooms were toward the back of the property and were quiet with no street noise. The only thing the whirlpool in the pool appeared to inoperable.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough! It is very conveniently located right in near the plaza major in the historic center. The hotel is very small and private - I think only 8 rooms, so you really have the place (including the pool) to yourself. But the staff really make it. Kelly, Lorena, and amanda beside the wonderful cooking staff were so incredibly helpful, pleasant and just nice to be around. Kelly helped me find some great places to buy artisan souvenirs and Lorena arranged a very nice driver and tour of the Puente Occidente. It seems that everyone raves about the Mariscal Robledo but when we went to visit it - they would only let us into the lobby. Not very Colombian of them. I’m very glad we didn’t stay there. Rather snobby group - not the normal warm and welcoming Colombians. We like the Bixa so much that we are staying at their other hotel, Passi flora in Jardin, next week. Sharon
