Parnis Palace

Het personeel is aardig en vriendelijk. De prijs was super goedkoop, maar het was geen geschenk, het was wat het hotel waard was. Het hotel heeft echter ook een prachtig zwembad dat nooit door een ziel wordt bezocht, ook al was het nog open (er waren ook drie ligstoelen, waarvan twee half kapot). Het is een zeer perifeer hotel (ook al rijden er af en toe bussen langs de kant) maar als je in ruil daarvoor met de auto komt heb je een goede gratis parkeergelegenheid aan de achterkant en ondanks de perifere ligging heeft het veel restaurants en leuke taverna's in de buurt. Als klanten leek het erop dat er meer arbeiders waren van lokale bedrijven dan van toeristen. Helaas lijkt het mij dat dit hotel in totaal verval is. Misschien was het ooit 4 sterren, nu zou ik nee zeggen, misschien bereikt het nauwelijks 2 sterren, want zelfs als het waar is dat de kamers groot zijn en met airconditioning, heeft het veel (te veel) dingen om te herschikken, sommige zelfs belangrijk. Om er een paar te noemen bv. de sleutel om de toegangsdeur van de kamer te openen gaat moeizaam in het slot en is geblokkeerd, dit merkte ik ook voor de buren van de kamers ernaast. Toen was de badkamerdeur armoedig, vies en versleten en altijd in de badkamer was er geen gordijn in de badkuip (bad dat ook voor de douche moest worden gebruikt) en stond alles onder water. Ook geen schoonmaak of handdoekenwissel tijdens de dagen dat we er verbleven. De handdoeken moeten in ieder geval worden gezegd dat we ze toen speciaal hebben laten brengen, maar je moet ze erom vragen. Het ontbijt was slecht (naar de tafel gebracht en geen buffet) en van slechte kwaliteit met zelfs de koffie die eruitzag als koude bouillon, zozeer zelfs dat we vanaf de t****e dag tegen betaling buiten het hotel kwamen, ondanks dat we het hadden opgenomen. Eindelijk bij het uitchecken om te vertrekken was het receptiepersoneel afwezig (om 9.00 uur) en moesten ze een half uur wachten om de kamersleutel te kunnen verlaten, ook al was alles vooraf betaald. Ik denk niet dat ik terug zou gaan naar dit hotel, hoewel de jongens die daar werken me goede mensen leken te zijn.

Will share my experience in English to cover most of people Firstly 4 stars is a joke . Dirty rooms , the aircon doesn’t blow any warm air in January, the bedsheets must be 20 years old. Had an unpleasant experience with the service. Came with 2 kids at midnight. The person at the reception couldn’t figure out in English my reference number , couldn’t find my name , but gave us room keys . The first room was filthy. We asked for a change. In the morning a lady from the reception came and we realised together that Ii booked another hotel 200 m down on this road. And asked us for a full price to be paid for the night. So unprofessionally to say at least , to let someone in without finding my booking in the system and after charged us for that. Not even offering half price discount as a solution. I have never experienced that before in my life. Could be a nice hotel but need a great amount of job to be done.

There are no words to describe the hotel. Basically needs a complete renovation. Run down building, bathrooms are in a terrible state, rooms are worse. I don't know how the mainstream booking apps still list the hotel as an option. Definitely not recommended, stay away.

No words to describe...very very bad..in every way. No service. we stayed 3 nights our rooms were never cleared. The room had so many wrongs..not even the curtains were straight broken and covered half the balcon door...breakfast was terrible...everything cold

I had a double room with my boyfriend and my mom had a seperate room with her friend. Our room was definitely not 4 stars as stated. When toilet was flushed it would leak onto to the floor. Ceiling was unfinished just wooden beams and a big hole above where they left it unfinished. From this you could hear the elevator moving up and down and clanging all the time as we were next to the lift and it located in that hole i’ll insert a photo of what i mean by hole. Also because of that the room next door when they used their bathroom we could hear it really clearly as if they were in our room. TV in the room but not working. Mini fridge also included which was working so that was good but in my moms room their mini fridge was warm. Air conditioning in the room was working and was great. In my moms room also when taking a shower the water would go down the drain and rise from another drain in the bathroom located across from the bath and flood the bathroom floor. The bed was a nice big size i would say a queen bed it was comfortable enough since we spent all day walking everyday but no mattress protector or anything under the sheets and we’re given a sheet as a duvet. Also they ask you to leave your key every time u leave the hotel i’m assuming so the room can be cleaned but we stayed for 5 days and it wasn’t cleaned once. Frequently water would turn off also and wouldn’t be able to shower but no explanation given or warning. Breakfast was okay just the basics hard boiled eggs, bread, ham and cheese and some yogurt and cereal selection there was also a coffee machine and orange juice

This is Definitely not a 4 star Hotel. The facilities are run down. Pool was dirty, full of leaves and un usable. Pool furniture was old and broken. It would have been nice to use pool during 35 degrees summer heat but we couldn't. Room was outdated and airconditioning had no remote to adjust temperature so we had to pull plug out of wall to switch off when going to bed. Mattress was old and dirty. Pillows were unssuportive and only one flat sheet supplied. No daily housekeeping and was told its every two days but it didnt happen even then. Hotel satff said you need to leave keys at reception so housekeeping is done every 2 days. Breakfast was also dissapounting as its not a full breakfast. Very basic cold breakfast some boiled eggs, bread but no toaster, slice of cheese, ham and no fruit.

This is a hostel not a hotel. It bears little resemblance to the pictures shown. If you want a bed to sleep in, then it is fine, but there are no frills here! No shower curtains, dirty floors, used glasses and rubbish in corridors. Breakfast was very basic, there is no working bar at the moment. The pool is unsafe and not being appropriately treated. The pool steps are loose, the tiles around the pool are also loose. Algae is growing around the walls, water levels are not topped up, there is plant debris floating and random chlorine tablets chucked in the bottom of the pool. Saving grace was the taverna across the road, which was excellent. Getting into Athens was difficult, we took a taxi for €25 each way.
