Layaali Hostel

Bij aankomst worden we heel goed ontvangen door een heel vriendelijke jonge meid, die ons informatie geeft over de buurt, goede adressen. De kamer is eenvoudig, maar zeer functioneel en zeer schoon. De driedubbele beglazing is zeer effectief. De locatie is perfect: het theater ligt er tegenover en de citadel is bereikbaar via een nabijgelegen trap. Ook als u het rijden in Jordanië wilt vermijden (waar het niet gemakkelijk is, vooral in Amman), kan het hotel u in contact brengen met chauffeurs van Localtrips, super competente en lieve mensen. Een geweldige prijs-kwaliteitverhouding!

Klein pretentieloos hotel, zeer goed gelegen in het centrum van de oude stad, op 2 stappen van het amfitheater. Veel restaurants 5-10 minuten lopen. Het personeel is behulpzaam. De kamer is schoon, het beddengoed ok. Er zijn geen horecaproducten. De badkamer is gemiddeld, de PdJ is eenvoudig en kan worden verbeterd.

Het enige goede aan dit hotel is dat het op een geweldige locatie ligt. Tegenover het Romeinse theater en in het hart van de oude stad Voor de rest: ultra lawaaierige, vervallen en vuile kamers, hol bed zo gebruikt dat ze zijn, vuile handdoeken, om nog maar te zwijgen van de 4 verdiepingen die te voet moeten worden beklommen.... En de om het af te maken, kamers op de 1e en 2e zijn beschikbaar, maar ik heb nog niet begrepen waarom ze klanten op de bovenste verdieping plaatsen

Very good location, if you are a tourist. Across the street you can find one of the main landmarks of Amman, The Roman Theater. The Citadel is also at walking distance (take care, is an uphill road, combined with many steps. Also, at walking distance is a huge comercial area made up of several streets full of shops (the merchandise are exposed even on the sidewalks, several souks (food markets) where you can buy vegetables, fruits, sweets, spices, meat or simply just walk around for the show. At a few minutes away there are several small fast-food restaurants where you can try local food. The famous Rainbow street (a disappointment) is also at about 20-25 minutes away (again, uphill, with steps). The hotel is not very big, it has 4 floors (there is an elevator) and a rooftop terrace, where there are a few tables. The view from here is beautiful. The room was bigger than I expected, clean (cleaning is done and towels are changed daily, more often than necessary). The room has air conditioning, a small refrigerator (useful, if you want to keep your beer cold :) ). There is also a TV, personally I didn't need it, I don't know what programs were available. There is a very small balcony with a beautiful view of the street and the Roman Theater. You can pay by card at the reception, but I don't advise you to do that, there is a huge fee when paying by card. Well, high commissions are also charged for currency exchange, so you have to choose between two bad options... The staff at the reception is very kind, they speak English well and are always ready to help you with information. A plus for Christine, with whom I personally interacted the most and who helped me with a lot of information about the city and suggestions about what I could visit. If you want day trips, you can ask for it at the reception. They have a partner agency called Localtrips (the same owner as the hotel), which organizes excursions. I have private day trips to Petra, Ajloun +Jarash and DeaSea + Ma'in Hotsprings. Everything was very well organized. The hotel also provides transfer from and to the airport. Breakfast, included in the accommodation price, is the same every day, OK, but nothing spectacular: boiled eggs, omelette, hummus, bruschetta, olives, a kind of local salami, broadbeans, salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, 3 or 4 types of bread, a few types of jam, some mini-pancakes, about 3 types of local sweets (soaked in honey or sugar syrup), two types of juice, tea and coffee. The staff, very kind. Good Wi-Fi in the room. A minus would be the street noise, for the rooms facing the street. The street is constantly extremely crowded. It is counterbalanced by the beautiful view.

They were all so helpful and the guy who brought my food to me was so helpful.. I’m from nyc am that was my first time overseas and they made it so easy for me especially since they had a tv with and English Channel

Good stuff and service, the hotel close to the downtown amman and close to markets and restaurants, the hotel overlooks the Roman amphitheater. The breakfast is delicious and there are many options. And they clean i like and I recommend it.

Stayed one night, perfect location in the downtown. You can reach all the reccomended atraction by walk. Frendly staff, nice breakfast, clean room. Chef Ali and Chef Mama served delicious brekfast for us.
