We were quite disappointed with our 10-day stay last summer. Positives: newer and pretty property, spacious rooms (which lack even a couch to sit in so had to sit in desk chair or on bed!), pool, that's about it for the positives. Negatives: food is beyond terrible (especially breakfast), not much of a lobby to speak of, rooms although spacious are not up to par with other St Regis properties, staff is always overwhelmed. We had to wait until 7pm to be checked into our rooms with the wrong bed size and had to change rooms the following day! Instead of being given connecting rooms with our kids' room, we were placed in 2 rooms on separate floors for 10 days!! All we were offered were useless apologies. Breakfast was a disaster (how can boiled eggs yellow be served green, yuk), freshly baked breads are hard and flaky.... Long story short, there are plenty of hotel choices in Amman, a fact which I hope management takes note of and not only capitalize on being the newest hotel in Amman as that is not sufficient.
