I was very much looking fwd to staying a night at the Big Texan and made reservations though *******. The reservation process went well and I arrived around 7PM. When I enteted my room there was a significant ceiling leak with an hotel ice bucket catching the steady flowing water in the front window right above the heat pump....and the bucket was nearly full. Needless to say, I instantly went down to the front office and told the front desk person. She sincerely apologized and quickly got me another room. When I entered the new room, both beds appeared to be slept in and when I went over to tje bathroom sink there were a couple used towels and water on the countertop - as if someone had literally just used the sink. At this point - I became a bit nervous that I had been given another guests room in error and they might walk in any moment and think I was a burglar. I was extremely upset and once again went down to the front office. The young lady was completely surprised by what I told her and once again apologizef for the debacle. At this point, I was pretty upset overall and decided to leave and get reliable accomodations elsewhere. I am hoping that ******* and Big Texan management will contact me about this unfortunate situation. However, if they don't, I plan on contacting both ******* and the Big Texan management directly to get my money back. Overall, my "Big Texan" Experience was "very poor" to be polite about it.
