Pestana Alvor Beach Villas

Maravillosa ubicación, las villas muy espaciosas, limpias y completas. El personal muy amable. Sin embargo, la piscina climatizada fatal: había cucarachas!! Y además olía muy raro y desagradable. Una pena que no pudiéramos disfrutarla, pero por todo lo demás estupendo.

The first villa we paid for was dark with a really poor seating area do we asked to move. We paid for an upgrade to a bigger villa which looked better. Unfortunately within a few hours it was obvious that it was damp, the heating didn’t work and the sofa was damp, smelly, and really needed to be thrown out. The bed in the double room was like sleeping on a wooden board so we moved into the room with 2 singles which was at least comfier. Luckily by now it is just the .2 of us in a5 person villa, as the double bed wasn’t comfortable enough got sleep and the sofa bed I think a dog would have turned it’s nose up. I took a list of maintenance problems to reception as without the heating on it really wasn’t habitable due to the damp. It was December that we stayed however being British and used to the cold we have never used the heat previously. Even in December we normally have the air conditioning on, but in here it felt like the damp was chilling you to the bone. The staff were lovely and they did fix the issues that could be fixed. The bath was peeling, the shower flooded the bathroom, the fridge wasn’t very cold, the patio door was broken, the worst thing was the awful awful smell from the sofa bed, even after they’d covered it when I complained. I was offered a 3rd villa but by this point we were sick of moving and I had no confidence this would be any better after already trying villa 52 and 63. The location is wonderful and I’ve stayed at the hotel many times. Unfortunately I made the Mistake of thinking staying at the villas would be a treat. The cost was far higher and what we stayed in was a rundown apar**ent at best not a villa. Would not recommend these to anyone. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Adorei a vila onde fiquei, tudo excelente, muito bem equipada, super perto da praia, staff simpático e disponivel para ajudar em todas as situações e ainda conseguimos usufruir de todos os serviços do hotel como a piscina interior, a sauna e o banho turco

We had a villa one min walk from the boardwalk, which was great, as very soothing to hear the waves. Breakfast at the main hotel was great, with various treats and coffee, but no fresh juice (but all is forgiven, as there were loads of fresh fruit). Substandard evening meal, truly not worth the money. Take a short trip to Portimão, where you will get a great dinner (a group of restaurants by the bridge) for half the price!! So, firstly, the wifi went off for four days (we stayed for 7). We were given a range of excuses, different every day, depending on whom we spoke to. Then the hot water went off, waiting until 11 pm for a shower (imagine the salty sea water). Anyway, it just wasn’t good enough. Would I stay here again? No! The place was advertised as having a heated pool & sauna. The sauna was off, and the heated pool was cold. Understanding that there is a range of hotels to stay in this area. Choose somewhere else. Apart from all the above, Portugal is a great place. Always enjoy (but not so much the accommodation).

Stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with my dad and daughter. It seems we may have been in the refurbished villas and was relieved of this. The kitchen is kitted with a dishwasher which is not really needed but you don’t have an oven which made catering very limited. It was fairly clean but the lounge area chairs had a distinctive damp smell and I didn’t like sitting on them. We also had a few cockroaches :( The pool are and grounds are lovely, perfect pool for my 3 year old. Obviously it’s out of season and there was no entertainment on. We had lovely weather so used the beach but please bare in mind they don’t have sun Ed’s and you have to pay. The boardwalk in also lovely to walk along. Can’t comment too much on food as we were self catering but the snack we had at the pool bar was lovely. Overall fine stay but probably try somewhere else next time.

um espaço incrivel para estar em familia. Tem todas as condições para desfrutar uns dias no Alvor, da melhor forma. Rodeados de mar e natureza a envolvencia deste empreendimento é unica. vamos voltar muito em breve, e para o ano trazemos o nosso amigo de 4 patas.

Eu, e a minha família passamos férias neste local há mais de 45 anos . Primeiro na antiga torralta e mais tarde no grupo pestana e nas vilas, quase de forma religiosa, pois não falhamos um ano . As vilas, gozam de uma localização ímpar, perto da praia e com uma piscina a segundos Este ano, confesso, fiquei um pouco triste com o estado da Piscina de apoio às vilas, fiquei alojado no Dom João, e a minha família numa das Vilas. Denota se um certo abandono na piscina, pela falta de chapéus, limpeza da piscina e algumas espreguiçadeiras que já denotam desgaste avançado. Parecendo que não, e mesmo estando longe da qualidade da Cabana de outros tempos, a mais recente gerência, embora mais fraca, faz falta. Pois não existe grande apoio de restauração . No que toca à simpatia de toda a equipa nada a dizer, assim como na limpeza da vila . Espero que para o ano, devolvam a mítica que a piscina teve noutros tempos, a começar com algumas sobras naturais como as que as Palmeiras proporcionavam.

Bom hotel, perto da praia, melhor localização não há. Uma experiência agradável tirando a utilização da piscina interna que nesta altura requer algum cuidado e atenção para com o cliente. A água estava fria e mm tenho reclamado a situação não foi revista. O Banho turco tb não funcionava. Num período de época baixa e de temperaturas menos amenas tinha sabido bem ter relaxado com estas duas opções em funcionamento. De resto normal para um hotel que privilegia mais os estrangeiros. PA bom e variado mas pode ser melhorado com a introdução de iogurtes naturais e sumo de laranja natural mas avaliação é positiva neste aspecto
