Charming hotel, was previously a convent, spacious confortable rooms and large living rooms, as well as conference rooms, service always with a smile, a cool rooftop from where I took the outdoor photos overlooking Alter and surronding countryside.

After ride 700 km on motorcycle from Santander to Alter, when arriving in Convento d'Alter the reception can't be better. Nuno Quina in the reception, a great and friendly professional don't want let me carry my bags to my room, after give me a guided visit In the hotel I be very impressed. They prep me some snacks in the bar, what is really good after 700km in temperatures around 35°C. In the evening the barman José Castelinho, very friendly and professional give advice about the best restaurants around. Amazing environment in the hotel the stuff have very high standards with the costumers. Better is impossible. The conditions of my room, swimming pool, private parking are stunning. Definitely I recommend this place without hesitation. Great time I had in my two weeks in the hotel.

Fantastic hotel in a historic building. Very impressive and cosy inside. Nice room. Cosy bar and launch. Swimmingpool with great view. Own Terra’s with great view. Romantic common rooms. Great entrance

Hotel antiquado mas confortável e limpo. O meu quarto tinha uma vista muito bonita. Os funcionários da recepção são muito simpáticos e muito disponíveis para ajudar e/ou resolver qualquer questão. Pequeno almoço, nada de extraordinário, mas razoável. Ponto menos positivo: Insonorizarão do quartos. Houve-se algum barulho de um quarto para outro. Também não ajudou o facto de cerca das 23:00, terem chegado várias famílias com crianças pequenas a correr pelos corredores de quarto para quarto e aos berros. Os próprios adultos, com as portas dos quartos abertas, falavam alto de quarto para quarto, sendo que o meu estava no meio. Tive azar com os hóspedes vizinhos. Isto não é culpa do hotel; é falta de educação dos adultos.

Valor demasiado alto para o hotel. Pagámos 130€ por uma noite, num hotel que já não tem qualquer vestígio de 4 estrelas. Precisa de urgente renovação e melhoria na limpeza. Casas de banho e quartos com pouca comodidade e com sinais de muito uso. Pequeno almoço fraco para o valor cobrado.

是一間很有特色的飯店，由老修道院改建成的四星級旅館。 房間乾淨舒適，房間外面就有小小的戲水池，很適合有小孩的家庭入住。 飯店四周景觀極佳，非常安靜，飯店後面是原來的修道院大門還好好的保留著。 傍晚或清晨非常適合漫步在小街道巷弄間，對於異國的旅客而言，是很可以好好的體驗葡萄牙的傳統風土民情。 葡萄牙式的早餐與晚餐，算是簡單不奢華，但是咖啡與茶是不缺的，可以加點葡萄牙當地產的波多葡萄酒，就可以渡過一個很美好的夜晚。

Localizado mesmo no centro da povoação, colaboradores muito prestável e quartos espaçosos. Oferta de bebida de boas vindas foi uma mais valia. Ouvimos um barulho de fundo toda a noite vindo da piscina o que não nos permitiu ter uma noite tranquila. Os quartos já precisam de ser renovados e a limpeza aprumada. O pequeno almoço foi um pouco pobre para um hotel de 4 estrelas.
