Diplomat Motel is well located in the middle of the town centre. Woolworth and Coles supermarkets are just nearby. Restaurants are nearby. The staff are helpful.

I requested an upstairs room facing the car park & pool.
I live remote from Alice & am aware of issues locally.
I wanted to view my car I. The parking area & up away from the noise.
A young female receptionist who referred to me an older adult as love on arrival, proceeded to put me downstairs by the gate where I am aware of street antics.
I went back & requested a move & was moved by a polite male.
Upstairs facing my car park.
It suits me to stay there as it’s locked at night & tradies stay there & sit out chatting late giving a decreased opportunity for visitors trying to get into your unit.
I booked well ahead & clearly it was not too busy.
I am NZ Indigenous & I felt this female receptionist was quite unprofessional. I suspect decided she could treat me differently to any non indigenous person & put me anywhere.
Not liking it.
Otherwise it was my choice as restaurants & food are good.

La struttura era in centro, quindi si raggiungeva tutto facilmente. L'unica pecca è che c'è un bar proprio sotto alle stanze affacciate sulla strada e la sera era molto rumoroso e si faceva fatica a dormire.

I found it unsafe The lock on the door was loose and then one morning 2 aborigine girls from the town walked by and stuck their heads in to our room to ask for money I told reception they need to have security checks around the motel as it is centre of town. They seemed to ignore what I said. The bathroom had note to to say if we wanted towels changed to leave them on bathroom floor and they would do that but the room was never serviced Plus our trash bins were left overflowing. The room was definitely worn and outside door had rubber hanging off it.The hairdryer had been pulled off the bathroom wall.

Centrally located and close to food/retail. My room was really clean with none of the complaints by previous guests. The staff are very friendly too, possibly the highlight of this hotel. The downside, and there is one, is security. The rooms have doors with locks but the glass doors leading from the rooms to the verandahs are really insecure. Plus this is a long verandah connecting all the rooms with free access from outdoors (I did a day trip with Emu Run and left my luggage with reception for safe-keeping). Another downside is that you can hear drunk/high people fighting/howling/screaming outside at night, all night. This isn't the hotel's fault but is purely from it location in town in Alice.

Great location. Amazing restaurant & pub on location. Easy to walk to everything from this location. Great coffee shop on corner and across the road. Highly recommend!!
