Valbusenda Hotel Bodega & Spa

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms, the pool, the common areas are all clean. Congrats on that! Here my personal review of the rest: A 5 star property managed poorly, the staff is correct, polite although very busy and not focused on the details you expect when staying at 5 star property. The hotel is clearly understaffed: 1 person at the reception (sometimes none). 1 person at breakfast, sometimes two… clearly not enough. Empty breakfast plates at the buffet, orders that never arrive at your table, coffees that take 15 minutes to get to you, I suppose this part is bcs the kitchen is also understaffed?(do not quote me in this one as I did not see the kitchen). The same person that services the restaurant is in charge of the lobby area, this means, nobody is servicing the lobby really… you call reception and they send someone, which is fine, I get it… the person that comes to you is busy, in a rush and thinking about a million things so mistakes happen, they charge to your room orders that you never made etc. (this happened twice in 3 nights there) 0 people at the pool area, you can spend hours there without anybody showing up checking if a drink is wanted… weird bcs occasionally you have a waiter bringing something for somebody… do you have pool service or not? We booked a package (4 to 5 calls from the hotel before arrival to go through all details which is amazing), we got here and the main details of the package were clear. This is what we booked: -Acceso al spa -Botella de Cava en la habitación a su llegada -Masaje Balinés (60 minutos) -Acceso al spa VIP con bañera de hidromasaje, sauna y baño de vapor (90 minutos) -Cena gastronómica de 6 pases sin maridaje -Late check out 16:00h (sujeto a disponibilidad) -Upgrade (sujeto a disponibilidad) My advice to you, DO NOT COUNT ON THE LAST TWO, points are added there as a hook. Funny as a late check out on a random Monday is always normally granted unless you stay in a busy business hotel where normally people is checking in on the day. Anyway, beautiful hotel, nice spa and pool. DO NOT GO THERE FOR THE F&B or you will get frustrated.

I spent a few nights at this hotel on a recent trip to Spain and while the hotel itself is quite nice and my room was lovely, service was average and dining options too limited. One thing to note is that if Spanish is an issue for you, no one at the hotel except one lady at reception spoke English. For example, it's possible to visit the adjacent winery for a small fee but only in Spanish. I did opt to do the visit but I wouldn't recommend it to be honest, the facilities are oddly designed and from the looks of this seemed to hace been designed in the 80s and not updated since, The wine itself was entry level Toro wine but there was much better places to visit in the area. Finally the hotel itself was completely dead when i stayed with maybe one other room occupied but it lacked ambiance or things to do as there are no bars and it's in a very secluded area. Maybe it's different in the high season but I don't think i'll come back to find out...

We stayed here for two nights (New Year Eve and New Year), the place is amazing I have not enough words to describe it. It is superb. Decorated with Fantastic Taste, Spotless, Big and very comfortable rooms and Wonderful Staff. Just a few minutes from Toro and very close to Zamora, both worth a visit. Food is Amazing and they organized a Great New Year Eve Party. Many thanks to all Staff, we had a Fabulous Time.

Higiene do quarto péssima. Ninho de moscas nas cortinas. Mais de 40 moscas na suite real. Moscas a pairar no quarto durante a noite!!! Copos da casa de banho com resto de dentífrico. Pior ainda a reação da responsável… age como se fosse uma coisa normal num hotel de 5 estrelas… surreal mesmo! Zero tentativa de compensação ou de fazer-nos sentir confortáveis

Lugar muy bonito y habitación muy cómoda pero el servicio pésimo. Para cenar nos traen el primer plato después del segundo porque se les olvidó, pedimos un vino y nos traen abierto otro...en la cuenta les recuerdo que se els olvidó cobrar unos vinos que habíamos tomado antes y nos dan las gracias por avisar pero nos cobran mal el vino y cobran de más ..Me llama la atención que quienes dan cenas también desayunos no sé cómo es el descanso de esa gente. En el spa nadie para explicar el orden correcto de uso. Y las vistas de alguna habitación dan al techo de la entrada y está muy descuidado,un 5 estrellas no puede ofrecer esas vistas desde la cama. Ah y la recepcionista que estaba el sábado 28 de septiembre a las 12 horas muy desagradable,podía aprender modales de su compañero. Y mirar bien que hay bichos muertos en el suelo y eso que la acaban de limpiar, hay que aspirar todo...

Falta de profesionalidad y servicio pésimo, en la comida estuvimos de 3 a 6 para comer y solo éramos 2 mesas en todo el restaurante. Las camareras super bordes, nos hablaron en muy mal tono y un servicio nada acorde con las 5 estrellas del hotel. En la cena nos paso mas de lo mismo, éramos un grupo de doce y nos tuvimos que sentar en mesas de 3 y volvimos a estar 3 horas de reloj para cenar. También quería recalcar la poca humanidad que tiene el hotel hacia sus trabajadores ya que únicamente tienen 3 camareros y estos mismos son los que te sirven en el desayuno, en el aperitivo y el servicio de comida y cena tanto en el restaurante como en el bar y el lounge. Trabajan más de 18 horas diarias!!!!
