Bellavista Avenida

Bitterly disappointed with the cleansines in general, shower was blocked and continually overflowed, pool area strewn with weeds and the so-called 'better' sun loungers broken and dirty with bird droppings. That said the staff lovely, helpfuland very friendly - got the impression 'Management' just wanted your money in regardless of the experience!!

We are positive persons to travel, but this was not recommended RCI place. The beds were really hard, very old, narrow and very noisy when you moved. Kitchen needs to be dated. One stove was broken, pan was no good, there was only few dishwashing liquid, coffee pot was leaking. Someone was feeding birds on the yard by the pool. So the birds were wanting more all the time and made sunbeds and water dirty. The staff cleaned water seldom. First nights was cold because there is no heating/cooling system. We had to ask toilet paper several times because they gave only few rolls by time. One night there was noisy because someone get in the corridor and knocked every door at midnight. Restaurant was good and staff try to help in our problems.

Large 4 person apartment with kitchen and all you need for self catering but dated and a bit grubby. Pool area nice. No AC and can get very warm. Safe only if you pay. Staff nice and helpful but reception closes at 7pm. Great location except apartments overlook busy roads. Main problem is the noise when folk come home early hours of the morning as noise seems to echo across corridors and thro walls. As there’s no night porter or security nobody to ask folk to keep quiet unless you risk doing so yourself! Also, entry door to apartment block not locked.

Had a lovely time at these apartments and have stayed here a few times, I requested the same apartment each time and got it, it has a pool bar/restaurant very friendly staff and a great atmosphere……..

We stayed here for 5 nights. Located just off the Watches Roundabout, perfect location for Old Town and New Town. Old style with dark wooden furniture but you get what you pay for. Large, generous space with large bed and a great kitchen/dining/living space. We prepared our own breakfasts and lunches and has kettle/fridge/cooker/utensils, all you need. Hot water available any time of the day for showers. We stayed in A12/101, ground floor garden apartment with access immediately to poolside. Sabores do Avenida restaurant onsite, serves the most amazing food, be sure to try it out!

First time staying here and unfortunately I have to say I wouldn't come back. The receptionist was lovely and inviting, she showed us to our room. When we tried to enter the door knob fell off. It has a new locking system above so they must have been aware of the old one not working but it's still on there and broken. My first thoughts on the room was it was lovely, it is old which I kinda liked. The tile floors and dark cupboards really made me feel like I was on holiday. However there was some problems. One of the plug sockets was litterqlly came out of the wall when you tried to pull the plug out. The pillows were really bad, very lumpy. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything and I mean everything. Doors banging very late at night, groups of young, inconsiderate groups playing music till 5.30am started at around 9pm. Talking all night and the 3rs night they were arguing. I complained and the receptionist was already aware. She said she was going to try and find out who it was. The noise continued so I complained again to a different member who was also aware because there has been other complaints but nothing was actually done about it. We got moved to a different block which was a pain at first because the last thing you want to do is pack up all of your stuff move to another apartment (on my own as it was only me and my young daughter) Then to unpack. But it was a blessing in disguise. It was a much better apartment. Better pillows, a lot more quieter and just overall better. On the second night in the first room someone rang our bell at 11.30 at night. My daughter was asleep. I looked through the peep hole but it was completely scratched on the outside so I couldn't make out who it was. They rang the bell again and I asked who it was but I got no answer. I could see someone standing there but I couldn't see any details of features. I felt really unsafe. The reception closes at 6. I tried to ring the number given to us but no one answered. The little pool was dirty, has loads of grass and muck and felt really slimy. The large pool had a sun umbrella at the bottom of the deep end. If they are going to let people use the pool is should be up to standard. We arrived on the Tuesday. By Friday it got really busy around the pool and someone just have said something because they removed the umbrella and it felt loads cleaner. The location is very central, very noisy. There is a supermarket literally 2 minutes away. We did enjoy our holiday and the last 2 days in the hotel. I have to say it was clean and the cleaner came half way through the holiday and cleaned our room and gave us fresh towels etc but I would not rate this 3 star. I've stayed at a 3 star hotel before and the standards were way higher. I would give it a 2 star.

I stayed with my boyfriend for 4 nights and paid approx £190. I wasnt expecting alot for the price, and also the reviews made me super cautious and anxious. We do alot of travelling so we went with an open mind. We were so impressed! The apartment and surrounding areas were absolutely spotless and clean. In the 4 nights I was there I saw the pool guy deep cleaning on 2 occasions! The on site bar food was amazing, and drinks were reasonable (just €3 for a large beer). There was a pool table too which was a bonus as we love pool. The one down side is no wifi in the room. There was also no AC or fan, which wasnt too bad for us as the evenings were breezy anyway, but could be sweltering in hot temperatures. I'm so so impressed with this place and will most definitely be back. Maybe we just got lucky on our stay, but please dont be put off by the negative reviews. You will not get 5* if you are paying 3* prices..just bear that in mind 👍

Apartment is fantastic, loads of room for a family of 4. The pool is good, the apartments are in a great location. Comfy beds and an amazing shower. The pool was a couple of steps away from our ground floor apartment which was great for the kids and we could watch from our small balcony. Shops are literally just around the corner, beach and old town about 15 minutes away, and the ***** about the same in the other direction. The blue tourist train is fun and handy for tired legs. The biggest problem is the music plays all hours and the people who have been out come back and have no volume control. The door bangs at all hours as people can't seem to shut it properly, the bedroom faces the road and can be noisy with cars and people chatting loudly. But the music from others is the worst, the kids kept getting woken up by the sound of bass, which seems to start mid afternoon until the early hours. Having spoken with others who have been here previously, the concensus is that last year, and previous years, this was much more family oriented. Now it's full of lads and girls holidays which is great and makes for a fun day atmosphere until the night time.

Avoid if you can. So overpriced for what it is. The beds are so uncomfortable and loud. There is no a/c. Reception is not the friendliest. The place is loud I'm general. It was so hot. Not the cleanest either.
