Areias Village Beach Suite Hotel

Excellent big apartments ,very clean and well equipped,good location ,nice sun bathing area and friendly staff,nice big beds and huge balcony, supermarkets near by but worth a walk to inter marche as half the price ,nice to see groups of young ones going for long weekends and having fun

This resort apartment was stunning. Large one bedroom with large kitchenette with table /chairs, full bath. Stunning views with balconies. Spotless. Comfortable bed, 2 sofas with plenty of seating. Sparkling pool and surrounding grounds. Free parking. Most everything in walking distance. Beach very close. Public transportation steps from property. Very accommodating staff. Miguel Silva and Jessica very helpful, both with excellent English speaking skills. All their help very much appreciated! Would stay again! Thanks for a great extended vacation!

Stayed for 4 nights in January. The hotel was practically empty. Very helpful and nice man on reception during most of our stay. Nice room with good facilities. Swimming pool is pretty small. TV in room also too small. I didn't particularly like albufiera so I won't be returning, but for anyone else I would say I recommend this hotel.

This was our first trip to Portugal and so didn't know what to expect when we turned up at Albufeira. The Good Hotel: The hotel is modern, clean and has great facilities. The pool bar offers a good selection of food and drink. The balconies are lovely, we had one over the pool and it was great to sit out in the morning in the first sun of the day. There was never a problem getting a sun bed whatever the time of day you went down. Location: great location and walking distance to the ***** and Old Town. However not too close that you can hear the noise, nor get any trouble. Also, we didn't seem to have many big groups at the hotel which was great (unlike other hotels we passed), it was more of a child friendly place. Staff: Polite and helpful when we needed anything The not great Hotel: - Beach towels are not provided which I didn't realise. - Twice I had to ask the cleaning staff for extra toilet roll as they didn't replenish this. - It would have been nice to have music playing whilst sitting round the pool. It plays at the bar but you can hardly hear this. - Frustrating that they have signs up saying only food and drink from the pool bar could be consumed around the pool. We got round this, but it made it a little more uncomfortable We would definitely come back to this hotel again.

My wife had stayed here twice before so she had recommended it. The apartment was cleaned on a daily basis, the whole complex was spotless clean. The rooms very spacious, my only gripe would be that the beds were not comfortable but it didnt spoil a great holiday. The staff were first class. always on hand, if required. Fresh towels every day. Plenty of variety of food at the poolside bar for snacks etc. Good secure location at night. Perhaps the changing room that is used when checking out could be updated, a couple of hangers and seats and privacy should that you could shower before leaving. Minor things that can be easily changed, a thoroughly enjoyable stay within close distance of the ***** and Beach. Would recommend a stay and hopefully not not long before we return.

We stayed at the Areias Village Hotel from Sept. 28, - Oct, 4th. We were a group of three couples age 60-70 yrs. We can't recommend this hotel enough. Jessica at the front desk is the most helpful, happy customer service person I have come across in a long time. The hotel is extremely clean, huge rooms, fresh towels every day, good shower pressure and water temperature...everything is amazing about this hotel. Five minute walk to the ***** and about the same to the beach. Close to everything. We will be going back for sure. Just one thing to note is that there are no pool towels available (which we thought was odd). The terrain is very hilly and mostly cobblestones so may be difficult for people with mobility issues....

We have just returned from the Areias Village & loved everything about it but in particular the staff were brilliant, so helpful & friendly. Food at the pool bar is fab & there were lots of sunbeds all day. We had some noise from the nightclub across the road but not enough to keep us awake. The only negative is the beds which are huge but very hard with lumpy pillows. The nearby '*****' is crazy busy & noisy not really our thing but found places to eat & drink & enjoy people watching. A popular place for stags & hens but there were no incidents of bad behaviour, just people having a lot of fun. The train to the Old Town will rattle your bones, taxis are plentiful, tuk tuks are fun but expensive. We used Uber & found this exceptionally cheap & reliable. The Old Town has lots & lots of bars & great restaurants but just as noisy & busy as the '*****' just with a more varied age group catered for. We went on a sunset bbq beach cruise which was brilliant fun, not for the feint hearted or people who dont drink alcohol as this was the focus of the trip. Overall a great holiday & good value for money. Best part is the people!! Big fan of Portugese now, didnt meet anyone who wasnt super friendly. Recomendations El Rancho on the *****, Stews & More enroute to the Old Town & Mi Sombrero in the Old Town for excellent food & service.

We are currently at the hotel and I must say everything has exceeded my expectations of this hotel. The rooms are large, modern and fully equipped. The kitchen area has a hot plate, microwave, fridge, sink and a nespresso type coffee machine. Upon arrival the staff are smiling and very welcoming and the whole booking in process is quick and easy. In the room awaiting you is a bottle of water and coffee capsules for the coffee maker. We are only here bed and breakfast but we had breakfast for the first time this morning and there is plenty of choice for everyone. We would definitely recommend the Areias village hotel and will definitely think about booking again in the future.

This hotel is beautiful. It’s exceptionally clean and everywhere smells clean too. Staff are friendly and really helpful. The pool area is very quiet and tranquil, no need to rush for a sun bed every day. The rooms are superb with a massive balcony area. We had a room at the back of the hotel which we preferred as we got the evening sunset. The only negative we found was the breakfast, we only tried it once and decided not to bother again. It was cold and tasteless. I’m guessing as this is a hotel with self catering apartments the hotel is not geared towards food. I would expect most guests just self cater for breakfast and I’m presuming that might be why there is not enough effort put into the buffet breakfast?? Having said that, the pool bar serve beautiful food throughout the day at a reasonable price and we took advantage of that. Would certainly stay here again on a room only basis.
