Op het eerste gezicht beter dan ik had verwacht, maar naarmate het verblijf vorderde, ontdekten we negatieve punten: de wachttijd bij de receptie is waanzinnig, het lijkt op een Portugese openbare dienst. Het is niet acceptabel dat er bij zoveel gasten maar één persoon tegelijk kan dienen... De jacuzzi van het hotel, die bij de prijs is inbegrepen, heeft ijskoud water en er werken slechts 2 ventilatieopeningen. Daarom is het bijna onmogelijk om daar te zijn. Mooi maar nutteloos... In een SPA waar betaald wordt, zijn er ook aspecten die juist om die reden verbeterd moeten worden, want tegen betaling en in een 4-sterrenhotel kun je bijvoorbeeld niet met deuren over de vloer slepen , zoals het geval is in de badkamer. Er zijn ook veiligheidsdeuren die niet opengaan op de tralies, wat heel vreemd is en nog vreemder is dat er geen veiligheidsapparatuur in de keuken is, zoals een brandblusser of deken, aangezien deze een fornuis heeft.
De renovatie is echter goed uitgevoerd en ik hoop dat deze aspecten snel worden verbeterd, want ik wilde terugkeren naar het hotel.

Booked via Love Holiday for 6 of us, we stayed in 2 self catering apartments for 4 nights. Overall an okay hotel, staff were nice and attentive, well located with Aldi only a 10min walk away and lots of amenities on site. I would say the apartments were fit for purpose but not overwhelmingly nice, just okay. Towels replaced daily and apartments cleaned. They do take a €100 deposit per room payable by card or cash. Also be aware spa is NOT INCLUDED and needs to be booked on the day for €7.50 which was a real shame as we thought this came with the hotel. Breakfast buffet was €10 and was okay, again not the best but did the job. The indoor pool was good and heated and we spent every day using this pool. Lots of space to sit and relax around the hotel which we utilised. Also note that the free shuttle service to the old town only runs in summer but they can order taxis for you instead which we did. I would say overall it does the job but if I were to visit Portugal again I would not book this hotel personally

Been to worse all inclusive, but definitely been to better. Our room got no sun all day,balcony very narrow, just enough room for small table and 2 chairs. Electrical socket by bed was hanging off the headboard. Maid service changed towels and maid bed,but do not sweep or mop the floors daily. Avoid the al la carte restaurant, it looks like an old shed, couldn't even find the door to get in, its just a black panelled wooden sliding door,doesn't even say way in, we walked around the building 3 times trying to find how to get in, eventually the waiter saw us and opened the door for us. Now the waiter was the only reason we left a tip,he was fun and tried to make the evening for us, but the chef, omg can't cook at all. Soup was luke warm, our bbq chicken tasted like it had been incinerated, very dry,overcooked,on a bed of overcooked soggy veg,we never bothered with dessert, we just wanted to get out . I can see why most nights they had one maybe three tables at most with customers, and they want you to sit in the window seats to make it look busy from the outside. Would not return to this hotel, not 5 star as advertised .

Went for Easter at the end of March. Arrived around 11am room typically not ready until 4 but they made sure our room was ready earlier. The room was large and spacious although I believe we were the first to use it as it was a bit stale at first. We had an issue with the window that was mentioned at reception and fixed that day. All the staff made a fuss of our daughter even though she got embarrassed by it. Food was great, always something to eat. Yes they reuse food but I’d rather that than waste it. Bus down to town was brilliant but doesn’t run on Fridays but the train is only a street away. Indoor pool was great on a rainy day. Would definitely come back. No issues.

I was so excited to be back to Albufeira, only to visit Albufeira Sol for the second time. But it wasn’t as expected. Reception got some improvements since my last stay in 2019, and it looks nice and fresh. I can say that the food is a little better than last time, but that’s all. Everything else got a downgrade. There was this lady in the reception, who was really rude to me and my fiancé, called Sollage. The staff is not cherish as it used to be. And we’ve noticed that the biggest difference comes from the animation team. Leo was very sweet, but in general, the entertainment wasn’t good as it used to be. After 2 nights we’ve decided to spend our nights out, cause there’s no entertainment for adults or any kind of shows, only kids discos. Not a holiday that we want to repeat.

The hotel was spotless and the room was (suit) was of a good size .. The Animation team were absolutely amazing!! With the stand out characters being Juan(Jonny) and Alice they really made our stay right up there with the best ever for entertainment!! We joined in with activities and Club dancing which were the highlight of the day they danced and took part with such enthusiasm it was contagious!! Well done team you are all one in a million ❤️❤️❤️

Friend and I stayed here all inclusive for 3 nights while visiting Albufeira. Would definitely recommend as we got the relaxing few days we wanted. Highlights: The desserts at lunch and dinner were the best ever we have had at all inclusive. Great classes throughout the day particularly from dancer Leonardo Dantas. Recommend his stretching classes!

Overall, a decent all-inclusive experience. Clean rooms, but service declined over time. Entertainment staff great, but bar/reception staff slow and unhelpful. Good food, but repetitive. Location excellent. Unlikely to return without improvements.

First time in Portugal but won’t be the last hotel was faultless.food was fantastic lots of choice and very tasty.very clean hotel very pleasant staff very helpful would definitely stay at albufeira hotel and spa .The train that takes you to the old town is very handy just a short walk from the hotel.plenty to do in the old town not much on the ***** although just a five minute walk from the hotel ideal for the younger ones we are in our sixty’s.i would recommend the hotel and albufeira to my family and friends thanks for the fantastic experience.
