Elotis Suites

Checked in to a beautiful clean room comfortable beds and pillows, impressive apart from back patio view ,., but happy enough with room ,., we paid extra 100 euros to keep room on as we had 8 pm flight ideal as my partner had been poorly , so planned the day that he had a lye in and I wandered down the shop to get a phone call that we had to pack our stuff and move rooms to the most disgusting room ever I couldn’t even use the room , it was abismal Moved with no explanation

The hotel was spotlessly clean and in the perfect location for our holiday. The beach is just a few minutes walk away, and with the bus stop being a 5 minute walk from the hotel, travelling to Chania was quick (about 20 mins), easy, and cheap (€2 each)! The hotel has a bus timetable in the reception. The area where the hotel is located has plenty of great restaurants and bars, along with many supermarkets. For restaurant recommendations, I would definitely suggest visiting Olivia’s, Isola seaside restaurant, and Terpsi (next door to the hotel). All of the staff at the hotel were friendly and always happy to help. The breakfast was great, they continued to restock items until the last few minutes which was lovely. The pool is a good size and has plenty of sun beds available; it was never completely busy when we visited. We were also able to store our luggage in the reception, for free, after we checked out which was incredibly helpful.

We spent two weeks here in a family suite, and while I would not stay in the family suite again as a family of five (for five people it was too small, the kitchen was dated, and the bed settee was very hard), I would definitely recommend the establishment itself. The Junior suites are particularly nice. The pool area is much nicer than it looks online and very clean. The breakfast is also good, but particular mention should go to all the staff who were always polite and helpful. We regularly rented beach towels from reception which was very convenient, and were also grateful to be able to use the showers on our last day before flying home (although they weren’t the nicest showers!). Elotis is well situated for the beach (we used Sebastian’s beach bar for sunbeds, €10 for standard pair of beds plus umbrella, or €15 for cushioned ones, but you get them for free if you buy food/drinks). The beach itself is superb… gently shelving golden sand, just be careful on the odd day when the waves become too rough. You are also only a few minutes walk from the bus stop (good service) and numerous mini-markets, restaurants (our favourite being Raeti) and gift shops.

Just got back from the elotis after spending a fortnight there. A lovely hotel to be at if you want to be in again marina. Hotel room was cleaned every day with clean towels. The bar staff are two brothers who run the place. Adonis and Joseph. Even though it is at the hotel grounds it is separated from the hotel. One o'clock they said the bar closes but many times we never left untill well after 2. Sometimes later. Now, when you are again marina there are no bars on the strip. Yes, you can get a drink but mostly at the restaurants where you have a meal. The elotis is the only place where there is a bar on the front. On the beach which is only across the road there you will find the bars, mostly the ones that backs on to hotels. No walk ways to each one but really walking on the sand if you stay on the beach side. So if you're looking to jump from bar to bar on the strip, forget it ! 30 mins up the road if you are walking you will find a string of bars or 5-10 mins bus ride, only 2 euros. The area is called plantanis. Up there is more lively than agia marina. So if you want a bit of music then head up there. The whole area is with people from Scandinavia with. 95%. And the rest with Brits, German, Dutch. No problem. But be warned if you are looking for that British theme you won't find it at agia marina. I was told that the only airport open to people from Scandinavia was chania airport and not herikion that's why there are so many there. Where as Brits normally fly in the other airport. Anyway a great place to be in. I did warm to it at the end and think I would go the hotel again.

Just back from two weeks at Elotis, lovely stay room was nice, air con a bonus during the heatwave. We were visiting family so didn’t really use the facilities but loved a beer during happy hour if we were coming back at that time. Shout out to the guy on reception who was very helpfull during our stay, would book again we prefer the upstairs rooms.

Fabulous in every way, great value for money, the friendliest most helpful staff, spotlessly clean, great location, 2 mins to beach located across the road. Slept well every night, good breakfast choice. Big shout out to Mia, Antonis and Joseph whose lovely smiles greeted us every day. We will definitely book again. Also recommend visiting Cabana Mare beach club for the comfiest sunbeds and amazing sushi and entertainment, 10 mins walk along the beach.
