Leonardo's ligt op een prachtige plek ongeveer 600 meter boven de Amalfi kust. Vanuit deze plek is het goed mogelijk om met openbaar vervoer (bus) , auto of scooter de pas af naar Amalfi te rijden. Daar kun je met de boot naar Capri, Sorrento, Positano of Salerno varen. Het restaurant heeft een uitstekende keuken, waar je in Nederland een Bib Gourmand voor zou kunnen krijgen. De prijzen zijn zeer schappelijk. Wij hebben 14 dagen genoten van het dagelijkse 3 of 4 gangen menu. Het restaurant heeft verschillende ruimten voor lokale feestjes, trouwerijen, verjaardagen, waar Italianen gek op zijn. De kamers zijn eenvoudig maar wel met badkamer en airco. De eigenaar gaat het aantal kamers binnenkort uitbreiden en moderniseren en voorzien van hydro massage en andere gemakken. San Lazzaro en Bomerano staan bekend vanwege de eeuwenoude wandelroutes zoals over de bergen naar Positano (sentiere degli Dei) en naar beneden richting Amalfi (sentiere antica). In Amalfi en Atrani kun je bedden huren op het (kiezel)strand. In juli en augustus is het heel druk en heel heet. Mei, juni en september zijn de beste maanden om daar heen te gaan. Wij hebben genoten van deze vakantie en komen terug zodra de nieuwe faciliteiten er zijn.

We enjoyed our stay at Leonardo’s. It was in a lovely setting on the Amalfi coast, and we requested a room with a sea view. They did not offer breakfast when we were there, but there were a couple of cafes up the road serving coffee and pastries. Parking was very limited but we were able to find a space outside in the road. Our room was comfortable although the shower was quite small. They entertained two big parties downstairs whilst we were there but they didn’t disturb us at all.

Lovely views from the dining room and great food with friendly, knowledgeable service; I will go back again and again the daily specials are phenomenal. All dishes are prepared with fresh local products.

Great food, great staff, great value. Enjoyed the experience so much we went back the next night. Absolutely cannot fault the restaurant, I would highly recommend that if you are in the area you pop in.

Food is awesome and the staff 5 stars!! It is very cozy and if you get the table with the view, it is all worth it! The staff and Leonardo are very very very friendly and they do their best to serve your food/drinks in time! I totally recommend!

Room was unclean and needs renovation (pictures are not truthfull at all). Also the host didn’t find my reservation and seemed angry when we arrived since he told he had saved the room for someone else. The shower was the tiniest (50x50 cm?) and the bed and pillows were very hard and uncomfotable. ”Breakfast” was served to tables and when I was asked what I wanted to drink the host didn’t seem to listen and brought the opposite for what I said. Even though the booking was last minute and we didn’t expect much the basic standards were not met. We had booked two nights but stayed only one. Plus for AC that worked.

Ho alloggiato per ben due volte da Leonardos per un weekend Ho preferito la camera vista mare rispetto a quella con vista sul giardino, sebbene entrambe fossero molto belle Posto tranquillo dove rilassarsi e servizi di pulizia efficienti Le camere sono termicamente ben isolate Riscaldamento/condizionatore, phone, tv
