This is a good place to stay. Great roof top area. Some noise and maintenance issues but the staff very very helpful. The rooms are setup nicely and are comfortable. Good value and very friendly staff. Recommended if you want a simple place to stay.

This hotel was fantastic. The staff were very professional and exceeded expectations in providing service. All the servers at the breakfast and coffee area, and in particular Yosef and Lydia were amazing at ensuring we were well taken care of. The housekeeping staff is the best I’ve ever experienced and two of the ladies I happened to run into, Tenaye and Beruktawit did an amazing job cleaning and organizing the room. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

A lovely free breakfast every morning is included in an amzing seesight covering all Addis. Ask our kind morning waiter, Yosef to show you the Ogaden memorial... In the evening, you are sure to find a good ambiance

Overall good impression, very beautiful restaurant, kitchen is a bit slow but the staff is very nice (Yosef and you’re the best) ! Room is comfy but not perfectly clean, hot water and amenities are good.

Monarch Hotel picked us up at the airport late at night for free. We stayed 3 nights and they returned us to the airport, again for free. A lovely free breakfast every morning is included. Our morning waiter, Yosef, and his supervisor, Semere, treated us like royalty. Warm and friendly. Our room was clean, quiet, stocked with refridg and safe. Location is perfect. Close to the center of downtown. We loved the Monarch Hotel and their wonderful staff.
