Everything was perfect, from the beginning until the end of our stay. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. You always get more being friendly and polite, than rude and demanding. Very nice room and great views, especially, the sunset! Breakfast is very big and with a great range of options for all tastes. The swimming pool is great. We would recommend and hope to come back.

My family and I had a splendid stay here in Marriott Hotel Downtown Abu Dhabi. We were greeted with beautiful smiles, not on our 1st day only, but every single day. Their warmth and hospitality tells you, you're coming back here again! Special shout out to Syeda from our breakfast and Tere too. They were simply amazing people who made our holiday even special. They would help in every way they could to make our experience amazing. The hotel management even gave us the space to wash up after our desert stay! That was such a help as it meant a lot to my family since my parents, who are quite elderly, needed a comfortable space to freshen themselves! Ouh wells, they're not as adventurous as us😉 On our last day, the breakfast team even presented a full chocolate cake to us. It was such a heart-warming moment.

In the morning, we decided to have a light breakfast at ”The Lounge”: we ordered, among coffee and other items, a smoked salmon bagel, which was delicious and served by our host Osman, whose demanour, knowledge, and overall attitude and customer engagement was outstanding - six stars for him! One word about the smoked salmon bagel: as a bagel connoisseur, and despite the dish's excellent taste and presentation, I'd like to note that the dough used for the bagel is not the typical stiff, high protein, yeasted dogh normally used when baking bagels. I recommend to use the correct dough in the future, slightly toast the bagel before serving, and also add a bit more cream cheese as well as a sprig or two of dill - otherwise, the dish was top notch, and as I already mentioned, the service was exceptional!

The location is super central, close to Corniche and major attractions. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with great city views. Staff were incredibly helpful and professional from check-in to check-out. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and everything was fresh. I also appreciated the pool, gym, and free parking. Excellent value for money – perfect for both business and leisure stays.Highly recommend!

Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf van 2 nachten in het hotel. We werden opgewacht door de heer Nadeem en de heer Vishal, die erg behulpzaam waren. De heer Nadeem heeft ons verblijf gratis geüpgraded naar een executive suite. Het appartement was groot en schoon. Ontbijt was erg goed, met een groot assortiment aan voedsel. Op onze laatste dag werden we geholpen met het kopen van kaartjes voor Ferrari World tegen een lagere prijs en werd er een gratis pendeldienst aangeboden. Als we terug naar Abu Dhabi zouden komen, zouden we dit hotel opnieuw kiezen.

Het ontbijt is goed, het is een typisch Arabisch ontbijt, en het beste is dat er veel fruit is.  Het hotel ligt zeer dicht bij de kust, het water is helder en vrij, en tegenover het eiland Lulu. Strandstoelen kosten 30 Dh per stuk. Het duurt ongeveer 15 tot 20 minuten lopen vanaf het hotel om te spelen. Als u niet wilt lopen, kunt u ook bus nr. 63 nemen bij de hoofdingang van het hotel spelen in het water. Er is een bushalte direct voor het hotel, waardoor u gemakkelijk overal naartoe kunt gaan. We misten het presidentiële paleis op de eerste dag en liepen vervolgens op de t****e dag 15 minuten naar het nieuwe hotel om de gratis pendelbus te nemen. Het was ook erg kosteneffectief. Het is alleen een beetje ver weg van de vaarervaring in Eastern Mangrove. Het duurt ongeveer een uur met de bus + lopen, maar we hebben tijd genoeg, dus het maakt ons niet uit. Spijt: de kamer die het hotel ons gaf was niet dicht bij de zee, maar dat maakte niet uit, maar we boekten duidelijk een tweepersoonskamer, maar er was maar één grote badhanddoek in de badkamer, en het was erg traag om de badhanddoek. Hoewel ik wist dat dit een vijfsterrenhotel was, had ik niet verwacht dat de service onder zou doen voor die van een driesterrenhotel...

Hotelpersoneel was erg vriendelijk. De kamers zijn schoon, het eten is ok. De ontbijtzaal is echter te klein. Omdat er niet genoeg ruimte was, werden we op een dag tijdelijk naar een andere kamer verwezen voor het ontbijt. Hartige en zoete gerechten lagen naast elkaar, pannenkoeken en omeletten werden zelden geserveerd. De t****e dag lukte het ons om op de begane grond van het hotel te ontbijten, maar door ruimtegebrek moesten we met een ander stel aan tafel zitten. Ook nam de huishouding onze gezichtshanddoeken de dag voor vertrek mee in plaats van ze te vervangen.

Het hotel ligt op een goede locatie en de omgeving is handig. Het ontbijt is wat beperkt qua variatie, er is niets te eten en dat moet beter. De kamerfaciliteiten zijn wat verouderd, maar nog steeds schoon en netjes. Gemakkelijk parkeren en attente service

We booked this hotel knowing we wouldn't spend a lot of time in it and it would be a place to sleep. We found the things we wanted to see in Abu Dhabi were pretty spread out but this was central enough to it all. The hotel is located about 30 minutes from Zayed International Airport and Yas Island and about 15 minutes away from the Saadiyat Cultural District with all its museums and the Galleria area. There are some dining options and smaller stores nearby but it is a short drive away from some better options. We booked a room with a king bed and had a good stay in it. The room was small but considering the price we felt it was well appointed with a mini fridge, coffee/tea station, small TV and a closet. The pillows were pretty comfy and we felt we had a good night's rest when we stayed. We booked a non smoking room and so did our cousin but it seems that despite what our booking website showed the smoking is allowed in many of the rooms. They did spray our room with a deodorizer before we got in and we felt it helped. There are enough plugs throughout the rooms and there was enough lighting even though it only came from the table side lamps. The area is very active and late into the night and my wife found it a bit noisy, had issues sleeping and needed to use ear plugs but I found it was quiet enough and had no issues falling asleep each night. We didn't need AC during our stay in February because our room was the right temperature for us but there was a thermostat on the wall. The bathroom had lots of room and a good sized bath tub. The shower felt great and offered good pressure and plenty of steam. They had shower gel, shampoo and body lotion that are restocked each day. The ventilation could have been a bit stronger because the condensation from our steamy showers left the floor damp. Thankfully there is daily housekeeping to help with this issue. There aren't any amenities at this hotel other than a small business centre. There are some restaurants nearby to grab a quick bite but we had to drive a bit to go to places we wanted to try. The parking nearby is all paid but is free between 11:00pm-8:00am and we were lucky our first night getting a spot right in front of the hotel with Unais' help but the second night we had to park about a block away. Parking costs 2 AED per hour but there are special rates for longer stays like 24 hours. We felt this hotel was convenient for our stay in Abu Dhabi because we didn't want to spend a lot on a place we wouldn't spend much time in. This met our needs perfectly.
